There's a difference between being a street fighter and a prize fighter. Look at Kimbo. Not that kind of guy you want to get into a fight with, but he can't even last a round with upper-echelon of fighters. I love the Guv'nuh, but no way he could have gone round for round with any of the greats. Sonny Liston, Earnie Shavers, MIke Tyson, Cassius Clay, George Forman. McLean would have been easily taken. wtf. they haven't proven to beat anyone from real full contact martial arts like wrestlers, bjj players or muay thai kickboxers. if you but a shaolin grand master in an mma/vale tudo fight, he would get choked out.

So a Shaolin grand master is a poor opponent who will just get choked out. So all the intense training second to none, all the perfect moves and accuracy he has learnt 24/7 means nothing cos a muscular bigger dude can choke hold him. Funny how Lesnar was beaten by a leg breaker lol Real class!

yes. all his training, as unrealistic as it was, will be a waste. i'm not sure what you base your statement on, as mixed martial artists, more so bjj players, have proven to beat fighters from other disciplines again and again. the reason is full contact sparring allows for realistic rehearsing of fight scenarios. please tell me there exists a shaolin grand master who could pose any threat to mauricio rua. go play WoW , i guess you're caught up in the mystery and flash around the shaolin monks.

Who knows man! All i know is these guys are conditioned to a high standard. Anybody who can pull a log for hours to which is attached to their bollocks by a rope is pretty hard to me. That is endurance. Don't know how many mixed martial artists could do that! Probably none but different training produces different results. This is taught for a reason!
