  • Beside the fine love scene starting on the roof, is this, in perspective of the entire film, such a delicate scene. A 'pity' that most viewers don't (want to) see Aronofsky's substantial vision of real mourning: a shamanic trip like a 'near death (or life) experience'. Tommy's ego bang into Izzy's story, containing a disturbing forecast, and into his regretful memories.

Bias? Maya and Buddha scenes link New Age, but it's all about confusions of the scientist: death is the pit of life's seed.

  • @Contextcatcher i like it

  • this movie taught me that dying is not a bad thing, that its just an experience like life is . im not trying to start debates but my belief in religion is gone ,i look at it as i do mythology(which it is) heaven for eternity just sounds plain boring . its okay not to know what happens after life. And that love is the best thing life has to offer. Love lasts for an eternity . Being human is to live and die not to last forever (immortal) the tree sap scene shows this.. thank you for reading

  • i don't like him as an sad person, i like him as Van Helsing etc.

  • i love hugh jackman but this is bad for his char. xD

  • I thought he did a great job, I don't see why you would say that.

  • made me cry again..

  • This is a Great Movie and one to be open to...:)

  • This movie is absolutely amazing! Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz are just an amazing pair onscreen. I cannot wait to see them together again in "Unbound Captives" in 2010: with a bonus: Robert Pattinson.

  • @timemistresssr is there really gonna be another movie with him in it? i'm a hugh jackman freak i'v seen every movie apart from the fountian.

  • @crikeywolverine yeah, there is. he, rachel weisz and robert pattinson are in the movie "unbound captives" which is coming out i believe either in 2011 or 2012. it is in pre-production right now.

  • I think Izzie is the one of them who is strong.I always have the feeling that she protects him,she doesnt want him to be sad about her death. She wants to make it feel a bit better for him because he doesnt want to accept that she has to die. This movie shows brilliant acting, this movie wont get out of my mind!
