You look pretty strong. I know that a lot of gluteal strength is required to maintain your spine angle as well as you do when rotating as well as you do. What do you do to strengthen your legs and glutes?
JEFF GREAT VIDEO BUY I HAVE A TIP OF DAY DAN SHAUGER HE GREAT TEACHES TO I HAD A LESSON WITH DAN AND HIT GOLF BALL STRAIGHT DOWN LINE NOW DAN TEACHES AUSTIN GOLF SWING THANK AGAIN DAN
I've been working on this very issue and I found out (after two years of trying for a one plane swing) that the shaft inclination and "tray"position must not change during the down swing. As long as I stay connected and keep turning my torso I hit reliable shots. Jeff is awesome. I want his swing.
Hey Jeff, Im still really confused are you supposed to turn your body to get the club back consistently or use your arms. I have been trying to use more of my chest to turn but am not sure if I am doing it correctly.
Hey Jeff, I need a little help with keeping my hips quiet. I have the tendancy to slide my hips before inmact instead of rotating them like you are supposed to so they end up way infront of me and it leads to some poor shots. Do you have any tips or drills to help me out?
you guys do understand Mr. Ritter is one of the top golf instructors in the country, he has been featured in magazines and all sorts of other media and you are trying to correct his swing. It is like some average Joe telling Tiger Woods he swings too hard or telling Peyton Manning his throwing motion isn't affective. I mean I am sure he values the advice but he is a pro and a true guru of the golf swing.
At the top of the back swing, the left wrist is generally flat and the right wrist is bent. The follow through wrist angles are the exact opposite with the left wrist bent and right wrist flattened. Impact is in between, where there is still some bend to the right creating compression. In sport, whatever is hinged must be unhinged to create power. Good "right hand" examples are that of a pitch in baseball or free throw in basketball. Full hinge to full unhinge, releasing angles vs. holding them.
We all are entitled to our opinions, but in my experience this is how sports are played. Any video of any tour player will have the right wrist flattening and left folding post impact. Youtube has thousands of tour videos. Take a look and draw your own conclusions. Best of luck on your game.
Jeff is this at impact or after impact.I always thought there should be a slight bend in the right wrist and a bow of the left at impact.
Great videos by the way,I made the switch to one planer even though I had success as a 2 planer.Playing in Boston I need a swing which didn't need so much timing and practice.
its me, the guy from Indonesia. swing plane is crucial, this vid made me lot easier to recover after hitting a bad shot.. by remembering this video, i can hit lots of good shots

what about grip pressure?
ShawnVanAngle 2 years ago
grip it like you are holding a bird in your hands... not to tight to kill it but not to soft so it would fly away...

at 1:00 you have a bent left wrist and bent left arm. does this not compromise your line of compression?

once the left wrist become bent the club is no longer in control. we can re-hinge the club without a bent left wrist.
i see immelman has this in his swing too and i understand its a move he is trying to improve
