For all those talking of the AIC influence..remember Layne Staley was covering Armored Saint songs in the mid-80's. That singer is John Bush the same that you hear in the Anthrax albums and songs from 93-04. Also this album was recorded and produced by the same guy who produced Dirt. If anything Layne was influenced by Bush...not the other way around.
everything up to this album was Thrash Metal and I think this one is too. It just has a few Alternative Metal influences like Alice in Chains and Soundgarden.
@theguy782 oh yeah. than 90's talllica and megadeth are too. today they're thrash again but 90's werent. although there were songs with some thrash elements
I remember being a bit taken aback by how different this was from the Joey Belladonna-era stuff, but I have to say this album and this song in particular grew on me. Hard to believe it's already been almost 18 years since this came out... [!]
the whole darn album's good.great days,eddie,great days.

This guy sounds eerily similar to Layne Staley.

@FastCarsAndGuitars90 This song sounds like something off of Jar of Flies, definitely. He really sounds nothing like Layne in most songs, though.

I liked the classic era and I liked the Bush era; in fact, I think of them as almost two different bands. Whatever, I love this song!!!

@thebailey67 Dave Jerden (producer for Alice in Chains) worked on this album. So that probably helps make it sound like AIC :P. Great song!
