For those of us who grew up in the 70's and 80's, this was hilarious when it came out. Most younger people don't remember the Wilkinson Sword razor commercials (and Lady Wilkinson women's razors) or those awful Massengill "Mom, do you douche?" commercials with "extra mild vinegar and water" that always aired while you were eating dinner.
anyone remember a sketch where will ferrell has anger problems on the phone and kills the family dog at the end? its hilarous and i cant find it ANYWHERE!
anyone remember a sketch where will ferrell has anger problems on the phone and kills the family dog at the end? its hilarous and i cant find it ANYWHERE!
@stephenbianchi I remember the very first Will Ferrell skit: He was in the kitchen with his wife. She recieved a phone call, and she was trying to get off the phone.....but the caller wouldn't let her .....So she starts motioning to Will...to give her an excuse to cut the call short. Of course he starts shouting at her at the top of his lungs.....like he's abusive....so that the caller will overhear. His first sketch. A STAR was born....
Creative, clever, beyond hilarious---and such a far cry from modern-era SNL tripe....with perhaps the exception of the "Colonel Angus" skit with Chris Walken from eight or so seasons ago, written in the same vein..................
Man, one of my favorite parts of old SNL is when they alomst crack up, but manage to hold it together. This was sketch comedy at its finest ever, PERIOD.
My God, "Salisbury" not salsberry - and "Earl of Sandwich", not "Arl" - for the love of God, you could take 7 seconds to Google it and you wouldn't look like such Palins!
Does anyone even watch SNL these days? Jesus they suck ass! This was comedy at its finest. Maybe the current "stars" of SNL should all start doing a lot more coke.
When I watch this and hear Harry Shearer, I think of the manager of the B-Sharps from that one Simpsons episode ("Well you see, women are going to want to have sex with you and well, we want them to think they can!"). Such a classic sketch.
How this has no rating or comments is beyond me. One of the most groundbreaking comedic classics of SNL. This was actually a very controversial skit back then.
