Very good presentation! I really like it! Absolutely agree that same sequences dont work on street fight but it is not the ultimate aim in this case. More important is practicing correct forms, distancing and timing! I repeat, very good presentation!
At least the maai and fluidity is better than in JKA... haha
Also, they already do a lot just showing the kata to the whole world, you are asking too much!
Karate is not for profit, EGO, and show. They do not need people thinking about them "hey, look these super secret mortal techniques, it's the best ninja martial art of the universe!". LOL
Well put. I would like to add that any bunkai is better than NO bunkai! This version is a thought out application (bunkai) as opposed to some kata where they are only doing a dance.
attacking with front snap kick and moving back same time? Does anybody attack this way? Retreating and attacking?

Nice form, kime and dynamics. Nice randition of basic bunkai.

To everybody I was right next to the camera when they film this. It's just a slow motion practice before a public presentation.

People don't understand that this is Omote bunkai and its only a simple translation. There's more to it than just this.

If their intent was to show a good basic punch, block and kicking kata, I think they accomplished it.

For those critics: show us first your abilities in martial arts before start shitting it all.

somebody needs to study the rules of kata bunkai
1 kata is not for fighting multiple opponents
2 each move represents an important and seperate lesson in application
3 there are various possibilitys
4 each move should be able to end a fight immediate
5 there is no "block" it is a disruption of stance and balance.
6 dont be fooled by the enbusen in some instances the opponent is actually to your rear
7 turns can mean a finishing throw or lock
8 learn the jujutsu applications of some moves

This is a poor version of applications found in P/Bassai.

I'm practising Shorin-ryu karate, but I don't understand a point of this. This is not bunkai.
