At least I think so. In London when you go to a theater to see a play or a farce around Christmas they always Hiss the bad guy. I do not think they are Hissing Eddie so much as they really do not like San Francisco being called frisco. Most people just call it The City. The Hells Angles call it Frisco but folks pretty much let them call things what they want to. :-)

I spent some time in Boise, ID. They, like San Franciscans, get uppity about the pronunciation of the name (apparently they prefer "BoiSe," not "BoiZe," and can be very insistent about it) Makes it all the more fun to piss off the locals by saying "Frisco."

lol yeah San Francisco is pretty small (walking around abouts, etc) to need taxis. Whenever I'm in SF I can pretty much cover most areas by walking in one day.
