  • Lastly a player with 14-16 majors would be nowhere near the greatest ever. You are clueless to tennis history if you believe this. Navratilova with 18 is only even considered due to her doubles record. Evert with 18 gets minor consideration due to her incredible consistency and longevity records. Otherwise only Court with 24 and Graf with 22 are considered. And yes Graf could have less than 22 without the stabbing, who cares, I dont think Graf is the greatest ever anyway.

  • @lambielkwanfan And again, who said this "a player with 14-16 majors would be the greatest ever"? You need to read and get your facts straight.

  • @hiu1787 You said she was on her way to 14-16 majors and on her way to being the greatetst ever. Put 2 and 2 together clown.

  • Also get your facts straight. Seles never won 4 consecutive majors. How could she when she never won Wimbledon. In fact never came close, making one final and getting humiliated by Graf, winning only 3 games. Most dominant player ever, LOL! Greater players than Seles like Navratilova, Graf, Court, Serena, Connolly, won 4 consecutive majors or more but certainly never Seles.

  • @lambielkwanfan And who said she won 4 consecutive majors, certainly not me. Seems like your comprehension skills leaves much to be desired.

  • @hiu1787 "She basically dominated those years including winning the next four consecutive majors"

  • ACEEEE

  • Take off the extra 30 pounds that Seles has in this match, and put them on Venus' body. Then we'll see who would win. Sure it's not Venus' fault, BUT ever since the stabbing Monica developped depression and an eating disorder, and frankly if she had been allowed to continue her career normally she would have been a totally different player/person who would have been going after ALL-TIME records. But what we saw was a FAT Seles return and still compete with the best. AMAZING.

  • Also who said anything about Graf. Graf was already retired at the time of this match. Of course Graf might have won a few fewer slams without the stabbing, but that wouldnt make Seles the greatest ever now would it. It is Seles loonies who still talk about the stabbing as some kind of excuse for all matches Seles played almost a decade after the stabbing that are the jokes.

  • A strong finish from my Favorite Female Tennis Player, Venus Williams! BTW Monica woulda beat Wozniacki with her eyes closed!

  • Monica's lack of fitness and lack of movement would be her downfall when she came back to the game in 1995 after an absence of 2 1/2 years after the horrible stabbing incident in 1993

  • @italo36 yes we get your shtickt from the 100000 videos you posted on. you think Seles would have won every match for the next 100 years if she wasnt stabbed. Move on to something else now.

  • @lambielkwanfan

I don't appreciate you taking my words out of context and blowing them up out of proportion, cut the drama and stick to the facts and keep your sarcasm and bitchy attitude to yourself and don't write to me again if you don't have anything relevant and positive to say.

    thanks.

  • @italo36 the facts of this match are simple, Venus kicking Seles's ass like she kicked everyones ass the second half of 2000. You Seles fanatics coming on every video and trying to blame every loss Seles had to a stabbing 8 years earlier is beyond pathetic.

  • @lambielkwanfan I am a huge Williams fan and more specifically Venus, but there is no doubt Seles was not the same player after that incident. Had it not been for that incident, Monica could've well ended up with 14+ majors. She was on her way to being perhaps the greatest ever.

  • @hiu1787 Of course she wasnt the same player 5 years after her peak. Much better and more talented players than Seles werent at their best for 8 or 9 years so why should she be. To put it all down to the stabbing is laughable. 14+ majors and 0 or 1 Wimbledons is nowhere near enough to be the greatest ever either.

  • @lambielkwanfan For you to suggest that that incident had nothing to do with her downfall is "laughable". Seles was a completely dominant player winning 10+ titles a year and 3 major a year before that incident. To underestimate the traumatic and psychological impact that had on her life I say is a shame on you. Had Seles continued on that winning trajectory, there was no way Graf was ending up with 22 majors. She basically dominated those years including winning the next four consecutive majors

  • @hiu1787 2 years of dominance does not equal 10 years. Your logic is incredibly stupid. Thinking things would be the same in 2000 as they were in 1992 under normal circumstances. How are things now compared to 2003. Navratilova and Graf couldnt even totally dominate for more than 2-3 years total so why on earth should someone magically assume Seles a far less athletic and overall less talented player, who won 1 slam the last 8 years of her career have magically managed it.

  • @lambielkwanfan I never suggested that Seles would be the same player in 2000 as she was in 1992. All l said was that Seles was never the same player after she was stabbed. Plain and simple, and for you to dispute that shows your utter ignorance. She lost 2 1/2 solid years of tennis where she would have dominated the tour. At the rate she was winning majors, that would've probably added up to between 5-7 majors. Add that to her tally of 9, and you have a player with between 14-16 majors.

  • @hiu1787 You are the ignorant one to just assume she would have dominated the tour another 2.5 years. That is purely a guess. 2 years of dominance does not equal 5, 8, 10, 12, as much as you fanatical Seles loonies want to believe. Players who have 2 or 3 years of dominance far greater than Seles in the early 90s have been unable to dominate beyond that, and we should just assume for Seles. Get a clue loser and get off your over the top Seles worship.

  • @lambielkwanfan You don't know me, so don't act like you do. I am not, and never have been a Seles fanatic, I just like her game and felt she was robbed of her full potential.

  • ill love you forever MONICAAAAAAA!

  • Venus' movement was INSANE here. I hope she can get in a little better shape because I definitely think she has some big wins left in the tank before hanging up the racquet for good.

  • Haha.. Great score board in the corner! USA vs USA

  • That handshake was so brief...they ran to each other shook hands and left

  • ACE!!
