I used to skip school once in a blue moon and sneak over to my neighbors house. They were from Tennessee and this was in Florida. We would use a basket and stick with a string with bread as a bait and wait for them to enter the trap then jank the string. It was about as much fun as a garbage bag firework.
Hey Tim iv seen all your video's and i think u are very wise I'm actually getting into survival training and i think this trap is pretty cool, and going to try it out and see if i can get something lol i know its survival situation only but there's nothing wrong in practicing it right?
yes it would work, but you need a pitch fork to hold it down inside to kill it and it would take a squirrel a few minutes to get out so you would have to attend it. LOL if it got out while you were standing there you might get bit, they can be pretty vicious
how do you stick up the worm? it looks dead, or is it just not moving? Now here comes the question: if worm dead, on a stick in the sun, do birds still eat it after a time? do you have to put a new worm often? or is it alive?
@DrReaper No i got only small birds in the trap, For a pheasant it would need to be a little bigger and a big rock on top of the trap tied down to the top
I like the arapuca method of cage better since it's less time and resource consuming, no weaving involved, just tying a couple sticks together, crossing the cordages and start shoving more into it to create the cage.
I was thinking to myself, "There's no way he's going to catch anything." Then BAM! You got a Cardinal. You got me hooked on your vids, I'm subscribing now.
i love all your videos. i will try all the techniques i've learn from your videos when heading into the woods next time because i've tested the skills in my backyard and they are all fun and very useful!
Impressive technique, ill try it someday :D 5/5 btw tim, could you make a video of making an old indian spear with stone point or some other way, if you know how to do it or if you got time, would be nice to learn it from you!
@tim3jones works for ducks and turkeys too,but they have to be big.3 foot by 3 feet, i also make a plant fiber net top to the trap works great.if there is alot of fowl around..great vid man
Thank you so much.
