  • your best bet is 0 gauge

  • whats good four a 350 fosgate???

  • Would a hifonics Brutus 2100 be fine with 4 gauge wire?? I'm tied between getting the 2100 and keeping my 4 gauge... or getting a busker that has the Brutus 1700 with a capacitor and a 0 gauge wire kit.. help!!!

  • @gottadosumtinstupid 1/0 gauge for the 2100, 1/0 for the 1700. Even if the 1700 has 4 ga power and ground inputs, trim it down. The bigger the wire the more efficient it will be in getting your amplifier its power. Ditch the capacitor, they are basically useless. You should get a small battery and wire it in parallel with your battery under the hood. You will maintain better voltage, period. Look up kinetik hc800 or XS power D680.

  • Rca's aren't boring, ur boring u useless piece of poo

  • LOOOL

  • Don't get too excited now. Haha

  • I NEED SERIOUS HELP!! ANYBODY!!! so i have a 740 watt amp connected to my car witt a 1000 watt speaker but i have two 1000 watt speakers.. and my cousin came the other and connected the two 1000 watt speakers to the 740 watt amp.. and it sounded great. so i was like how is that even possible??!! So i asked him to tell me how to do it but he's an asshole!!! and doesnt want to tell me how. PLEEEEASE!! if anybody knows how to do this please let me know!

  • @arnold9012 He bridged them in order to get more power between the amps and subs

  • @arnold9012 He might of bridged your subs bro lol thats what i do on mine

  • is it me or all the people on expertvillage videos idiots or just look retarded?

  • ohh its the bigger the better? shit i didn't know i was scared to blow my amplifier with wire that was kinda big

  • I'm new in this what if i have a 4000 watts amp what kind of wire i need for my system?

  • @sampacto try to use 2 gauge wire, expensive tho. but will bring out the max potential the lower the gauge the thicker the wire, the thicker the wire the better

  • this guy is not a happy guy! hes needs to lighten up.

  • ut not a comedian?

  • I dont think this foo like wat he does, he's a smart AZZ!!!!!!!!!!

  • From Trollaholics Anonymous:

  • What makes you able to move around ... water?? what the bloody hell as water got to do with moving around?

  • @UKzxJnMx our bodis are 80% water...without water we wuld be dead

  • after 0:35. thats what she said lol

  • he likes the sound of his own voice

  • I want this guy to find me an 800 watt RMS amp that will accept 0 gauge.

  • @YoungGunzBass01 He did say as long as it fits in the hole...

  • @rmathis84 Maybe it would accept some Bullz Audio 4ga. lol

  • @YoungGunzBass01 thats true, but i know a lot of people that will run o gauage and just use adapters cause you never know when you might want or get the chance to go up in power, doesnt hurt a bit

  • @jakemillyard Now THAT is something i can agree with!

  • I think water would stop me from moving around

  • 200amps of power? hmm power=watts amps is current dont mix them up

P=V x I so how many volts do these speakers run? 12v ? if thats the case ur talking 2400watts? into a stereo seems a lil over kill .....ur car is meant for drive from point a to point b but yeah 2400 watts is too much

  • every time i watch this guys videos he sounds like a smart ass

  • @carnellrules3

    which makes it funny

  • What size power wire for a 600rms amp

  • "If you go too big... actually that's usually ok once you fit it in the hole."

"But if you go too small, there may be dire consequences."

Is this a comedy show or a tutorial? Just wondering.

  • "What makes a car run...? Gas."

"What makes you be able to move around...? Water."

WTF? Water doesn't make you move. Your muscles... OH NEVER MIND this is useless.

  • @ExpertOfSound

You have to think outside the box for this one.

  • @shaochiavang

    LOL!!

Yea, outside of the woofer box! :D

  • "as long as you can fit it in the hole"

  • it wouldn't hurt if you rehearsed the video a bit, shit! i have a feeling this expert village guys ask you to do the video and if you accept, it's filmed when you least expect it thus resulting in a shitty video

  • do you have an online web store?

  • its good as long as u can fit it in the hole LOL

  • who here is wondering how to setup a amplifier for a car to your home stereo speakers without a powersupply that you have to go out and buy..and without all the chords that you wld use with the back of a car head unit. well message me and if i get more then 5ppl ill make the video its very simple and easy

  • @DragonWagon6 4 gage is perfect for that u just need a beter fuse holder cheap ass weak 80 ahahah or 100 shit is minor u need to upgrade too 150a or 200a im running 1600 rms off 4 gage and running 15000 rms off 0 gage u just need beter fuse holder and do tha big 3 wire swap if u havent done it already

  • does water makes you move around?

  • @racingduckss lol

  • 0:30 that's what she said!

  • the chip y to us some old jumper cable wire

  • NEXT TIME PLEASE SPEAK ENGLISH...... ?????

  • 0:33-0:38 that's what she said

  • At 1:12 he almost says fuck lol :L

  • @02392bretthaley i think it was fry

  • @02392bretthaley He almost says fire.

  • @02392bretthaley he was about to say Floccinaucinihilipilification you dumbass.

  • @MrAfrau Get a life u sweaty grammer boffing cunt!

  • @02392bretthaley heh? bwahahaha...Retarded idiot, can't even talk properly.

  • @02392bretthaley

    HAHAHAHA

  • @02392bretthaley no it was fry

  • BAD VIDEO, this guy keeps fumbeling his words and doesn't think about what he is saying before he says it. only maybe 6% of what he said is true. What makes you be able to move around? LOL!

  • @timehrhart01 Oh well it's not like we're paying for it lol.

  • fail

  • he should have practiced before he did this video lol

  • what gauge choud i use 15" Olympus Series Dual 2 ohm Subwoofer Peak: 4800 watts RMS: 2400 wat Gothic Series Class D Monoblock Car Amplifier ts ohms: 1200 watts x 1 chan. 2 ohms: 1700 watts x 1 chan. 1 ohm: 2200 watts x 1 chan. x 2 2 subs 2 amps Complete 0 Gauge Amplifier Kit and JVC Arsenal do i need car batries and im i missing sumthing plz help me
  • who in the living fuck would use telephone wire for a power wire seriously does this guy think he is the godof all amps and wires haha he thinks everyone is a dumbass. he prob works at best buy

  • is running a mtx 4 channel amp tht in all channels put together equals 1200 watts and a 600 watt mono kicker both off 4 gauge wire ok?

like i have one 4 gage wire coming off the batter into the mtx then like 8 gauge coming off out of the mtx power into the kicker.

is that ok or do i need a bigger wire cause i have had it like this for a while and it seems to run fine.

  • Wow it's...."state the obvious" guy again

  • i ran my mono cadence 600w amp on 8 gauge. BAD IDEA. biggest wire fire ever lol jk but it was on fire

  • okay i bought the mtx terminator package with the 250rms watt amp..400 watt max (i know its shitty) ...but will 10 gauge power and ground wires be okay with this? need answers!!

  • can u do a video on duel channel amps?

  • i have an amp i just bought its a boss 5000 watt, 2500 rms what size wires would i need, plz reply

  • Don't know, but I know that amplifier is overrated as hell.

  • what amp is it?

  • this guy is awesome

  • well i bought a 8 gauge wiring kit but i have a 1400 watt amp can i buy a 4 gauge powerwire seperate and still keep the other wiring of the 8 gauge kit

  • If your amp is TRULY 1400 watt RMS power, and not a cheap brand like pyle or power acoustik with fake power ratings, you NEED 4 gauge.

  • 8 guage is fine for 1500 watts but i doubt your amp is 1400rms i have 1/0guage feeding a 4kwrms amp

  • 8 gauge for 1500 watts LOL you got to be kidding me.

  • You don't need a "power" wire...just get a 4 guage Ground wire, it's all copper..Copper is copper my friend. You can get a RockFord Fosgate (best brand) from Best Buy for about 16 bucks. It's like 10 feet.

  • 200amps of penis? haha at 2:38

  • hahaha dummbb lol no he said impedence not penis

  • @RippedLives IMPEADENCE Wow.

  • @RippedLives Impedance lol..

  • @RippedLives impedance, he said.... impedance....

  • @RippedLives impedance

  • @RippedLives impedance fuck face

  • @RippedLives he said impedance

  • i'd like to party with this guy!

  • "If you go to big well usually thats ok as long as you can fit it in the hole"

THATS WHAT SHE SAID haha !!

  • what happens if you use a 8 gauge wire on a 1400 amp

  • I would use 0 guage wire (battery cable size) . see what the manufacturer recomends on the that amp also. 8 guage is for regular amps 500 or less amps.

  • you get hot wire, and strain the amp, and make the amp easier to fuck up.

  • not the best idea but it will do tell u get some 4 gauge

  • what would be the best size gauge wire for my 4000 watt mono block amp

  • 0 guage for sure..... You might need a high output alternator also. Hopefully you are stating the RMS of your amp

  • plz respond

  • what kind of gauge powerwire do you need for a 1400 watt amp

  • 4 gauge

  • you chat a lot of pony man a fuse is to protec the wire u rate the fuse for the size of the wire plus lenth of run plus the load

  • Comment removed

  • 2:36 he tried to say impendance and sead in-penis

  • sorry for type

    ***said in-penis

  • wire on fire!!!

    that rhymes :)

  • Dude your wrong on the amp size selection. You fuse to protect the WIRE NOT THE AMP. All amps have fuses or internal circuit breakers to protect themselves. You got the rest right though. Edit your video if you want to help people not confuse them.

  • YOU are an idiot it is to protect the amplifier you idiot. most high powered amplifiers do NOT have internal fuses.

  • No dude... Sorry your wrong. Send me a link to an amp that has no fuses or internal circiut breakers. You fuse THE WIRE to prevent fire and burning of your ride where the cable lays, in the event of an accident or short, NOT to protect the amp. The amps made today as well as for the last fifteen years or more all have fuses or breakers. If they don't they are designed to burn up some trace inside before catching on fire due to an internal problem. Go read on the subject "smart guy". LOL!!!

  • i agree with you all amps have fuses in them and if there is not there is at least a crowbar circuit in it to protect it when shit fails and you have to shut it down and repower it but yes i agree fuses or crowbar circuits

  • @ JulianXMassacre

You fuse the wire at the battery to protect the wire from running so much power that the insulation melts and creates a fire or electrical hazard. But you also need to know how much current can be carried in the wire dependent on it's size and the length. ALL amps have some kind of protection. Most Rockford amps don't have any kind of fusing for protection, but they do have internal breakers. Amps will either have an external fuse, internal fuse, or internal breaker.

  • Thank you... I wanted to add the wire length into my post, but I was lazy.

I swear though, these stupid ass kids. They don't know jack shit, right? It amazes me the stupidity these YouTube retards have sometimes....

  • i'd like to see him make a video for finding the lead or remote wire for a car stereo, because that seems like a big problem in other comments in his other videos

  • he makee me sleepy ...

  • 2:36.... "this allows you to have 200 amps of penis", if thats not what he said, correct me if im wrong (i know thats not what he said but its funny to think he did)!!! lol

  • he said impedence

    its ohms

  • haha penis

  • he tried to say impendance (ohm rating)

  • Its All about -2 gauge thats the big fatass wire

  • This guy is right, it's a bitch trying to push a fire hydren through a straw.

  • haha power?? what a dumb fat gook, ELECTRICITY YOU DUMB SHIT noobvillage

  • your a fucking racist prick aint you

  • only when its late and im tired and i cant find a video of som1 that knows what their talking about.

  • I think you need a dictionary you white piece of shit. Go and have sex with your sister or something you inbred fk.

  • have i cry man i don't want to know what you do with your sister... dictionary?

  • what amp should i get for an orion 15.4 hcca 15inch

  • get a rockford fosgate t200bd!!!!!!!!!

  • i mean a T2000bd

  • wow amps need current not power lol and fusing is to protect the car, somebody that runs a shop should have at least read the basic MECP book lol

  • Comment removed

  • LOL SOME FUCKED UP ANALOGIES

  • whats your point??

  • 150 amps? That's a crazy amount of current, considering it only takes 600 milliamps (a little more than half an amp) to stop your heart!

  • Comment removed

  • yep and 37 milliamps directly across your heart to kill you. that's some serious power.

  • how many watts is the sub? 80w seems super low for 10" sub, you can damage the sub by underpowering it :/

  • no you can not damage any kind of speaker or sub by underpowering it. Thats just some BS shit car audio stores tell you to spend more on a amp.

  • thats shit.. underpowering speakers or sub is bad for the amp and speakers

The amp have not enough power for the speaker.

The resulten the amplifier clip. The cut the sinus wave on the top the result the speaker gives you an bad scrape and that is bad for the coil of the speaker..

i not sell car audio equipment and i don't work in a car audio store.. i install car audio system and i know waht i say.

I had so often to see what clip speaker or subwoofer is a coil damage,

  • wtf are you taking about? Underpowering a speaker or sub dose not blow them. "amp cliping" means

When an amplifier is pushed to create a signal with more power than its power supply can produce, it will amplify the signal only up to its maximum capacity. At which point the signal will be amplified no further.

  • As the signal simply "cuts" or "clips" at the maximum capacity of the amplifier, the signal is said to be "clipping".

The extra signal which is beyond the capability of the amplifier is simply cut off, resulting in a sine wave becoming a distorted square wave type waveform.

Cliping will heat up your voice coils. Makes the glue melt and the voice coil will unwind from the former. or a burnt voice coil.

    .

  • U dont know what your saying. U can underpower a speaker and it and the amp will work just fine

  • don't get bad man it's simply you can underpowering the speaker but it is shit

and yes you can underpowering a speaker without an problem

So understand me, the right amp für the Speaker or Subwoofer got better because the sound, dynamics and SPL got better

  • stfu your wrong. man up. i know what im doing.

  • I have a 80w amp and a 10" subwoofer. What size of wire should I use?

  • lol 80 watt amp...

    use some telephone cable

  • nice looks like some one was watching

  • the kicker is 80 amp the hifonics is 60 amps but my comps are 4 ohms which means i will be useing half the power of the hifonics amp (150.2).i will be okay using the awg kicker power cable and the 100anl fuse for this two amps ?since the hifonic amp is only goin to use half the power?

  • i have 4awg kicker power cable along with a 08zx 750.1 kicker mono amp with a 100a fuse near the battery under the hood (anl fuse holder). i also have a older verison hifonics zeus 600amp for my front comps that i will be adding soon to that awg with a distribution block will be safe to do so ?

  • Pog's!! i like Pogs, you know what pogs are? Pog's...

  • lol everything runs on energy

  • nice job on the video, less lame analogies and write down your metaphors.

  • When you buy an amplifier for your car.Read the instructions.Duh.

  • stupidest metaphors ever...

  • I lol'd

  • ok so what gauge is the big red wire? 0?

  • yea

  • lmao @ the introduction

  • lmaoo, ah man, i laughed even more after i scrolled down and saw this, agreed!!

  • @stinkybear it doesnt even make sense lol ...water?!

  • good info... but... not nearly enough poorly connected analogies. Also, if your going to pose a question to your audience, you gotta give them a little more time to answer.

  • this may sound stupid, but im running two 15inch JBL subs off a Mosphet amp, (380 watt total output) and i couldnt be blowed running up to the shop to get wire, but instead used an old extension cable (power cable used around the house) it seems to run alright. but when i turn it up a little the amp doesnt put out bass it just makes a weird noise. any ideas? and what wire should i purchase for a 2000watt amp that im recieving in a few months.

  • u know i have tried that.. its not good for your amp for one a extention cable is made for ac current not dc., for two its not threeded the same way for max perfomance... a tip to get bass is all in the box. u could run a smaller amp and get as much bass depending on the box.. if u have the room i would do a dual icabaric, rember if u dont get the right amount of air space, it can make your sub fart, or sound like rubber.. the box is the way of the true power

  • yee, well at the moment i have a set of 2 boxes that ive made myself. they dont recieve any airflow into the box, should i put some kind of vent in the back of the box? and also i was going to re-wire the whole car stereo at chrissy anyways.

    Cheerz for the help.

  • first thing first, If you have a truck you don't have the air space to put 15's in, that is my problem right now. If you have a car you could fit them in the trunk, but you do need to have the prober amount of air space, which is 1.5 cubic inches if I am not mistaken. If your going to the trunk of the car I would have a sealed incloser just becuase you don't have room for that box in the trunk most likely, but if you take out the back seat you should have just about enough room.

  • Also if your trunk can fit a band pase box that would also be good, but if you do that you should have a two channel amp and run on side positive/posititve, negitive/negitive, then run the other sub positive/nagitive, nagitive/postitive, that way your subs are working together and not against each other. So they are a lot of different variables, what kind of car are you putting it in? If you rewire the intire system, Bigger is Better, find thick speacker wire, and thick rcas, and power cable.
