  • This fan part looks very frustrating lol

  • Did you make any thumbnails or preliminary sketches before you did this?

  • @mangachan10 she didn't :D.

  • damn its your own pic ???

  • i love the fish! i see u paint it on special layer, did u mix it with background layer after u finished the fish?

  • you are absolutely amazing... and i loved your tutorial... XD one day, when i become a good artist, i'll tell u n thank u for this great vid, XDD

  • The fact is that you'll never really call yourself a good artist. Not if you truly are, anyway. I've been doing art all my life, and there's still a universe of things I need to learn and master, and I'm sure the same goes for Diane here. The truth is that every true artist is proud of their work, but never satisfied with it. There is always room for growth.

  • that is pretty true... good point, lol... i mean one day when i get better, i'll prob realise there's a load more i donno about... thanks for that! XD i will try my best from now on n try to be proud of my works, hahahahah...

  • Good luck. It's a long road. lol

  • I couldn't agree more! You summed it up very well.

I'm indeed never satisfied with my work and always trying to improve, though I'm somehow proud when I finally can call and artwork "done"...

I really have a very long way to go before doing really "good art" (though this is pretty subjective) and I hope I'll never stop learning and improving. This is the best part of "art" to me.

Thank you for your very interesting comment !

  • I meant "an" instead of "and" of course.

There may be some mistakes remaining though, sorry for my bad english.

  • Oh, no problem. :) I think it's really only those of us that live art rather than just love it that truly understand its more intricate nature. Art, as a whole, defies definition; to attempt to define it is to trivialize its true meaning. It's as much a thing of individuality as it is of civilizational importance, so I've never attributed it to competition, one person being better than another. Personally, I've found it to be a matter of skill filtered through know-how, to break the rules

  • once you know them. I'm always looking for something new to learn, and I think art loses its flavor once you think you know everything. Digital painting, or any kind of painting for that matter, is new to me, and studying this video was part of learning something new and applicable. :D

  • @CronusLord amen.. that all true same happens to me XD

  • You do such wonderful artistic paintings - love them!!!
