Thanks for your vids I am inspired to start my hair journey and cant wait I am dealing with really short damaged broken hair instead of chopping it all off I am going to try the crochet . Thanks and God Bless
the conventional definition of a protective style is a hairstyle in which the ends of your hair are protected from the elements and from rubbing up against your shoulders and clothes, for example. It also includes styles in which your hair is in groups, such as twists, cornrows, buns (in this sytle ur hair is in a group AND also the ends are protected so this is a really good one) and each strand is not out in the world alone LOL, but tied together some way
you know, this is something that had me confused for a while, because when I heard the definition of a protective style (any style in which your ends are tucked away or tied up or something and protected from the elements and also from rubbing up against stuff like your shoulders and clothes) I realized that my twistout was not a protective style. HOWEVER when you curl the hair the ends are in fact more protected than if the hair was straight.

ok... So a twist out is still considered a protective style even though the hair is technically not in twists anymore?
