Dang, this video nailed the most recent slangs in the Korean language~ Remembering these is a MUST when you go to Korea^^ You'll see everyone use it^^ Way the go talktomeinkorean!
@DistinctiveSound ah-ee-shi-bal is f word but aish doesn't really have an actual meaning it's just that people didn't want to say the f word so they just stopped at ah-ee-shi and it became most frequently used exclamation..when koreans got frustrated the first word comes out of their mouths is aish but it's from the f word originally so it can be offensive :)
@iiiiianholic ahh, well in english I don't even say "shut up", "oh my god" "what the hell" or "crap".... it's going to be difficult keeping such standards in another language...
@DistinctiveSound oh i didn't think of that xD most of my non-korean friends love to speak korean bad words lol well there're lots of no offensive/polite exclamations that you can say even when you got frustrated ..you can be yourself when you speak in korean as well don't worry ^^
@Room142 "어머!" and "엄마야!" are very similar exclamations. You can choose whatever you want to say! ;-) As for 저런/이런, some people might use them, and some people might not.
Haha, amazing! XD I've been learning Korean with TTMIK, but never watched this video for some reason What did I miss! You're all so creative, I loved it so much! Keep up the good work, you're doing an amazing job. ;)
@DarkShonobi I believe jeongmalyo is like "Really?!" jinjjayo is like "Truthfully" or "For real" and gueraeyo is "Oh yeah?" or "Oh okay" There really all the same but they are said so much that there are different ways to say them to break up the monotany. Same as in English, hope it helped! :)
hahahahahahaaaaaa i heard these expressions soooooooo much in korea ㅋㅋㅋㅋ but with like friends and family i heard often "왜 그래~~?" (like teenagers saying that)
Does this have a lesson or PDF available? I loved the video. I needed a Korean word to yell at Rosetta stone when it doesn't want to pick up my voice when I'm studying. <3 You guys!
awesome video! it was really funny towards the end. i know all these expressions except for 아싸. i have a lot of korean friends but i've never heard them say 아싸 before.
I LOVE IT!!!!!! :D

Momentemline 2 months ago
@Momentemline It's a sound of frustration I believe.
Stoopeh 1 month ago
@Momentemline it's actually from ah-ee-shi-bal which means f..k people say freaking instead of f..king it's a similar case
iiiiianholic 1 month ago
@iiiiianholic so "aish" is something like, "frick" or "freaking" and "ah-ee-shi-bal" is "f*ck" or "f*cking"?

also, do korean people say 저런/이런 anymore, or is that really old language?
thanks for the great vid!
