The gap between the magnets is too wide. They need to be closer. Also the gaps between the groups of magnets is too close. Since you are using different size magnets you have to compensate for those differences. Adjust it so it looks the same as Mylow's video. If you get it right the stator magnet should start to loose temperature while it is spinning. Until this happens it is not adjusted properly. Spin it clockwise.

You are correct mine still does not work .. there is no working Mylow replication at this moment . . guess we'll see, as many more are now gearing up to make an attempt.

He was a fake. He gets a kick out of seeing people replicate something on youtube that doesn't work and he would go through all lengths to lie to the people. I haven't seen any working model other than his and still he doesn't describe his sources on how to build this exactly. He's just "hoping" people can replicate this. If he knows exactly how it works why would he be "hoping"....? does that make any sense? lol he's a joke.

I think pedal power generators is the way to go. They just need better gear boxes, flywheels etc. Putting some human energy in it is good exercise...if energy was completely free...there'd be too many lazy people in the world.

Ah, you are right Mr. Ano. Free energy is what we already essentially have in world compare to what may be coming and this is why nobody look for new sources before. No, the magnet motor is not 'completely free' as you speak it but it coming really close. Now is not time for free energy though. We have to wait I guess. But hopfully not long:)

For what it's worth, this is the true reason this thing is impossible:

"In a static field, the magnetic field integrated around a closed loop (the line integral) is equal to the current flowing through, and normal to, the loop."

That's one of Maxwell's equations. The "loop" is the path the stator and any magnet take with respect to each other as it turns. There is no current, therefore the integral through the loop equals zero. In English, all the forces cancel out for net zero force.

Every single magnet on the disk will move in a loop with respect to the stator. It doesn't matter what the orientation is, or how many magnets you have. A whole bunch of zeros when added together give you zero.

This applies to any possible magnet-only "magnet motor" that you can dream up. None them will work because there is no such thing as a "special configuration" that will magically work. All of the loops are zero, adding them together yeilds zero. You can not escape this proven fact.

The stator magnet degaussing is pure hearsay that was being speculated on in the forum, correct? Why are you trying to pretend that it's a fact?

It explains perfectly why the wheel accelerates. The equation tells you that the magnets will not make the wheel change speed averaged over one full revolution because the magnets contribute nothing. Therefore the wheel is accelerating due to an outside force(s), like a fan or his hand. Arguments that it can't be done with his hand are false.

Most likely Mylow recorded an entire 7-minute clip so that he would have a seamless, perfect audio track. Then he replaced the first 4 minutes of the VIDEO ONLY with his intro clip where it speeds up and with a few funky looping clips where it was speeding up and down. He had complete liberty to make as much noise with and air gun as he wanted, because there was no sound to worry about. That explains the speeding up in the beginning of the clip.

Ah, you talk like some other physicists I know and don't know:) Interesting but technical explanation contains invalid line of argument. No fact is exhibited or proven. The 'special' configuration is not magic. It is simple principle but youtube boneheads not take time to read simple instruction. I KNOW what going here. The spacing between rotor magnets are much wider than Mylows, and the spacing between groups of magnets are smaller. It looks like you've put a lot of work into replicating his design, why did you deviate from his spacing scheme?

I think the spacing is the same on the latest Mylow video published by Peswiki today. The truth will set us free. I hope Mylow is right but there are more and more evidence that hes not. SAD

The build plans for Mylow's motor suggest rotor spacing set at 1/4 inch aprox .. .

My rotor spacing on this disk is 1/4 inch +-1 millimeter.

The reason the disk symmetry may seem a bit different than Mylow's is that my rotors are a bit wider.

Permit me to repeat myself just once, the spacings are basically irrelevant. I know that there is the wish that the spacings and overall configuration can impart the "correct" configuration to get a self-runner going. Like it is some sort of nut to crack, just find the right configuration and it will work. Unfortunately it is a false premise, we understand enough about magnets to know that this is not true. The last Mylow clip has been proven to be a fake.

r123062b: Compare the ~10mm space between each single rotor magnet (as introduced by Clanzer) of this design to Mylow's design (~5mm). Drawing a layout a priori might be to no avail. Fiddling with only a few rotor magnets, comparing the resulting forces of different configurations and choosing the best configuration for the rest of the wheel might be more worthwhile.

For what it's worth, all of the agonizing about the magnet separations and groupings was pointless. Every individual magnet has a neutral affect on the rotor speed where the energy gained in the rotor from the "pull forwards" is equal to the energy lost in the rotor for the "pull backwards". This applies to individual magnets or arbitrary groups of magnets.

Plengo's clip was the final nail in the coffin and chances are you will not hear from him again.
