@XquisiteVx the taste depends on the type of the durian, some of them taste sweet, creamy, and some of them taste kinda bitter. there are even durian that has alcohol flavor. The ripen durian usually taste sweet and creamy, so if you ate one that is hard and dry, then it's still not ripe enough. i tried my best explaining how it taste like o.o i know i suck in explaining.. i really miss eating durian D:

Thanks to me, the fire brigade was in my studenthouse because everybody upstairs smelt gas leaking.... And down stairs, it was the smell of Durian. I showed the firemen my durian porridge and now even they cant distinguish whether it is the Durian or the Gas. Just to be on the safe side, the firemen wants us to call them again if the smell is still there

becuz normally durians are picked near to mountains area when it's very dangerous when the season it ripes came .. "Rain of Durians" can kill if ur not careful .. it smells like hell to alot of western foreigner becuz the food u eat and the food we eat differs from appetite to one another .

try it, then you'll know.we here have lot of ways to consume durian, we eat with sticky rice, make sweet soup and even make deep fried durian balls or locally known as cekodok durian..some make ice-cream and cakes and i just found out from this NYC guy who makes durian smoothies..enjoy!!!

I always see it at the local superstore, so I asked a chinese guy that was walking by, how to eat this, I bought one, I don't even know how much it was, i think it was cheap.

SO i let it sit for 4 days, and finally I tried opening by cutting it in half... I couldn't eat 1/4 of it, I tried little pieces, and I felt really bad but I had to throw it away :(
