  • What a beautiful voice. God bless this wonderful singer.

  • Sad to hear Danny is not well. He was in the same class as my brother. He was a great singer even then. Danny and his family lived around the corner from me

  • I, too love Danny and Mary. Danny's wife wrote to me of Danny. He is at the bedside of of his mother in Ireland. She told me Danny was forced to retire from performing due to health issues. I am sad, but sadder still for Danny, for music is is heart. Listen to Loch Tay Boatsong or Ringsend Boatman.

  • i have been looking for a cd version of this album for a long time without success. i have a very old tape made from scratchy album. this is probably one of my favorite albums (and the only irish one i know..though my mother is from dublin...shame shame)....does anyone know where i might acquire a digital version of this album??...

  • Marchree01 (see below) bought a cd.

Perhaps he knows. Or perhaps Amazon.

  • ..same question I posted wherever I could. But:

What do you think about giving me the digitalized files of your scratchy originals and I will try to restore them for you (and for me).

I am a soundingeneer and I already did some restauration work on "Step it out Mary", "Sam Hall", "The early Morning Rain" and "Red haired Mary" by Danny Doyle.

    Best wishes
