I have this phone for almost a year and I don't like it at all. Well, only the music sounds good. But I hate the lags, small display, it doesnt cooperate with .mp4 movies and it does totally weird things - it restarts itself, randomly make calls when I'm not even aware of it, sometimes lags so badly that I have to take out the battery, when I have a full battery it suddenly goes down to zero and it switches off. +it has a whole lot of other flaws. Do not recommend. I think I need a new phone :|

@SuperSquishy1011 - that is because the type of touchscreen this cp has is diff compared to iphone. this one is resistive while iphone is capacitive. i agree with @MrSuurijohtaja You really cant compare everything to iphone!!

I have this model and I would NOT recommend to buy this phone...there are many other (better) choices out there than this model...it is really not surprising to me that Nokia continues to lose market share; as they do not seem to look at what other makers are doing with their products...the screen is unreadable in daylight...the interface is poorly thought out...the touch screen sucks...the file management is useless...and there is no way to contact Nokia via email to provide product feedback...

I've had this phone for over 6 months now. I've dropped it so many times and never had the touch screen malfunction. The aluminum lining also wasn't dented. Anyone buying this phone should also upgrade the software (if its not yet already) And download Opera Mini because its faster, smoother and has a better GUI

@Devilz302302 In some ways, it's Nokia 5530, and in some ways, Nokia 5800. I have both of it and both have different uses. If you need 3G, a secondary camera, a Carl Zeiss lens and a fatter phone, Nokia 5800 is for you. If you like to have a lighter phone with a slimmer and better design, with a lot of home screen shortcuts and stuff, Nokia 5530 is for you. In my opinion, Nokia 5530 is better.

I agree JackSfi, I have the 5530 and has used the 5800 as well. And i think the 5530 is better by a bit. I didn't get the 5800 as i NEVER use 3G. Plus, I also wanted a smaller and lighter phone. So I think 5530 is better. That's my personal opinion.

oh yea 1 more great thing, theres only like 1 part of the phone which can fade by age, which is the 3.2 megapixel text on the back, and the back is pretty easily scratched. throw in a nice silicone or rubber case, a screen protector and the phone will pretty much never age (: (all the buttons and other text are on the screen itself and u can use a screen protector to cover it)

this phone is great... just remember that its a NOKIA which means its a PHONE not a mini comp... dont expect much apps... otherwise the touch screen is great for a resistive screen and you can do pretty much everything else, music, movies, calls, sms etc. great phone!!

I'm facing some problems with my Nokia 5530 Xpress Music phone with its Message Vibration Alert and its tone. I'm not able to receive the alert for the incoming messages and the handset. 5530 has 2.9 inch, no GPS, no 3G, no video camera and only 1 small flash light

5800 have 8gb memory card included, 5530 has only 4 gb memory card included

They are similar , if you want to have a good phone with a low price..choose nokia 5530.

@trippin0 hmm.i think 5530 is better (in xpress music) but C5-03 is way better (etc. gps,camera resolution(5Mp with geo TAGGING),WIFI(UPnP), and more).If you like camera with flash,choose this (ROCKIN!!!) phone or a MEGA (bigger) pixel camera choose C5-03.The choice is in your hand.

I'm a clumsy person, dropped the phone a few times and etc, yet there's no major damage yet. I would recommend this phone to anyone, but the touchscreen could do with a higher sensitivity though I know it is a resistive touchscreen, which isn't as good as capacitive touchscreen..

@rockabilly113 Eso es porque los subtitulos estan direccionados a ser usados con el traductor do google, este es pesimo, ya que traduce cada palabra, no por contexto, ademas la pronunciacion de el sujeto que habla no es facilmente reconocible por el gadget de subtitulacion de youtube
