This movie may be one of the most poorly written movies i've ever seen yet somehow its still entertaining. ... For example the world's leading geneticist was unable to name the correct gene bases.

I remember watching this movie when I was 6 years old in 2000, for some reason I was terrified of it for a long time, but I always thought it was a cool movie. It still is.

I heard this didn't get good reviews (or perform well at all, it's the only film by it's director Antony Hoffman) and had a few deliberate factual errors, but it could be worth a one-time watch. But at 0:56 - Airbags on a MANNED lander? You have GOT to be kidding me.

having heard bad reviews I quite enjoyed it. Saying this I am doing my Dissertation on Mars in the Arts. Thinking of other films. Mars Attacks! Total Recall, Mission to Mars, both version of War of the Worlds etc. Of course there are plenty more but I cant talk about it all!
