  • It's great - only I can't help thinking someone should tell the drummer Randall Williams

to change his snare sound; it's obtrusive and always the same. 'if I could only find the words to say...' yup, there goes that snare drum again - constant and pointless.

  • Never heard these guys before.I can see why YES chose him to replace Benoit David.Another great band to check out is Pendragon.

  • The first acoustic guitar screams Dave Matthews.

  • and now Jon Davison is touring with Yes.... Hopefully Glass Hammer gets him back!

  • I recommend PHIDEAUX to all GLASS HAMMER lovers... they are both GREAT!!!

  • Love that progression and guitar part at 2:58 .... Sounds like something Allan Holdsworth would come up with..twisted and tasty...love it.

  • @s0undch4s3r ...or Trevor Rabin.

  • Them synths remind me of Camel. Great band

  • This song is just...absolutely....fantastic. Good music is officially not dead, praise God.

  • Great!

  • Luvz!!! : )

  • Who said anything about better or worse? I'm looking for unique, this is not.

  • @TheGrooveMaster10 It's natural for a band to sound similar to their inspirations. Of course it's not completely unique, because this genre is a few decades old. If originality is the most important factor for you, listen to genres of music that are emerging for the first time. Or simply enjoy the fact that there are still artists keeping older genres alive for a younger generation.

  • @TheGrooveMaster10 Have you checked out Kaipa's "In the Wake of Evolution" or CAST "Legacy Executor" ? Both are on Youtube, let me know...

  • Kansas pioneered this sound in the 70's this is old news...bring me something new and fresh PLEASE someone?

  • @TheGrooveMaster10 "Older" is not synonymous with "better". Just because a band pioneered a sound, doesn't mean they do it better than anyone else. Glass Hammer is a newer band that perfected an older style.

  • If I keep hearing amazing music like this, the mainstream radio may become completely unbearable.

Oh wait, it already has. o.o

  • Wow, what a nice song. It´s like Genesis meet Kansas. I was looking for new prog music and i found this,,, glad i did... Also the cover art looks kick ass xD

  • sip...sip...

  • Sounds abit like a modern Kansas or Focus =)

  • Damn, that's just like Yes. Amazing!!!

  • I'm starting to think this is one of the greatest songs of the decade... that damned floaty guitar bit in the middle, wow.

  • I don't know why, but this tune reminds me of Genesis during Peter Gabriel's days. SOmething like "England By the Pound".

  • Yet another example of an artisticly genious band, remaining a dazzling gem for anyone who took the time to find them. Up the Hammer's!

  • oooohhhhh how I love Epics.. amazing

  • Solid tune *floats in progness*

  • Cool Band, and album cover!

  • Damn, how have I not heard this band?

  • Same here. Their first album came out the year I was fuckin born! I just bought it yesterday. It took me a long time to find bands like this. I also reccomend (if you have't heard) Transatlantic, Marillion, Spock's Beard and The Flower Kings.

  • you might want to add liquid tension experiment, they may just be the best

  • @KieranPeterDownes

yeah I know them. Glass Hammer is quickly becoming my favorite band next to Rush and Pink Floyd but the only way I can buy their albums is on itunes! I wish InsideOut Records would re-release their discography with bonus tracks and put them in stores for the fans. Just getting audio tracks to put on your ipod is nothing like having the cd or cassete.

  • @OdysseyIntoOblivion

You may also want to check out Echolyn for music like this. Also, not to seem obvious or anything, but these guys obviously are big fans of early Genesis.

And lets not forget my personal fav's Gentle Giant.

  • @OdysseyIntoOblivion You might also like "Divine In Sight".

  • @OdysseyIntoOblivion

Dude, you have the right taste of music

  • @OdysseyIntoOblivion yes transatlantic is awesome bro! as for the other bands, some of em ive heard others i havent but i love transatlantic and im kinda starting to like this band too

  • @OdysseyIntoOblivion

thanks for the tips - much prefer the snare drum sound Transatlantic has, in contrast to Glass Hammer's

  • @apostlemurder You need to Know Eden. A German progressive band from 70´s.

  • fuck yeah!!!

  • yeah yeahhhh ! ;)
