  • for those of you who don't think this is real or isn't michigan... it is real and I saw it all the way down in saint joseph, mi

  • it looks like the aliens are arriving.......

  • @Domar251 that's an airplane, meteor doen not travel in straight line

  • Thumbs up if u came here from youtube.

  • From 0:17 you see the Hungarian Flag :) red white green

  • @MrTomHun And the Italian, & the Mexican...:-)

  • @BabyPuma124 Watch the sequence its not the same! :)

  • belive it or not youtebe sent me here

  • I grew up just south of Hastings, Michigan, so it was cool to watch something like this from close to where I grew up -- not even 25-miles away! We had a little aurora out here in Nevada, but nothing like that! Seen the aurora many times back in Michigan, but only twice in the 10-years I have lived in Nevada.

  • Michigan?

  • holy crap! 0:02 is a meteoroid!

  • Comment removed

  • iz this really michigan bcoz aurora happens near poles?

  • @rahul74347 The Aurora occur in an oval around the Magnetic Pole. The magnetic pole is about 10 degrees south of the polar axis, in the direction of North America. Typical Aurora occur in an oval that stretches through Iceland, N. Ontario, the border of British Columbia and the Yukon. When a geomagnetic storm occurs, this oval expands by hundreds of miles further south. lakefx dot net, click 'space'

  • @rahul74347 yeah aurora happens only near poles, but who knows can be real.

  • @GiuAmim Aurora have been seen in the past as far south as Cuba--As recently as about 60 years ago. Michigan on the other hand, especially the northern portion, can see aurora as often as a few times each week, or a few times each month on average---for an astute observer who know when to look and has a clear view of the northern sky. The Aurora do NOT occur near the poles, but rather in an oval hundreds of miles away from the poles--This oval expands during events like this.

  • @rahul74347 It was because of some solar flares. They were seen as far down as Tennessee

  • @rahul74347 It's real. It is extremely rare for an aurora to be visible as far south as Michigan, but I remember a huge storm from 2002 or 3, myself. I live in the Lower Peninsula, and it was the only aurora I have ever seen in my entire life. It was SPECTACULAR! The local news was saying that it was a once-in-a-lifetime thing.

  • VOLDEMORT'S BACK!

  • Why dislikes?

  • @vidaction emos

  • imagine a time before scientific understanding of this natural phenomenon. must have been soo trippy aha.

  • youtube sent me!

  • I just had an orgasm.

  • plasma

  • Oh.......This is really not too good of a thing. It might look pretty, but heads up. If you think the sun feels hot now just wait a few years

  • @BrianLuper Northern lights have been happening on earth continuously for eons. Aurora are just a beautiful reminder of our magnetosphere protecting us (we can't break the magnetosphere with GW or pollution). The approaching Solar maxima is predicted to be half as strong as the one we experienced in 2001. It's affect on climate is thought to be nearly 0. A blast from the sun could someday that knock out power and satellites. Could be next year... or 500 years from now. 0 climate affects.

  • @BrianLuper dont you feel stupid now, its okay though, we all know you are anyway, because 10 inches of your global warming crap just fell in my town in october.

  • @theskatmaaan That's not what I'm talking about. Also, I am not the type of person your thinking I am.

  • @BrianLuper umm, you are implying global warming exists by your comment. I dont believe global warming is happening, but i do believe that there are some serious changes going on in the climate, both warm AND cold

  • LOOKS LIKE POLLUTION TO ME !

  • cool

  • I LOVE THIS!!! Thanks for sharing it.

  • Wow!!! Aurora Spectralis... :-)

  • :) thinking that our planet is protecting us from radiations , make me feel safe .

:( thinking that we are messing up our atmosphere , make me feel afraid .

  • looks like radiation to me

  • @VideoPorDia And actually it is radiation. It may come due to solar storms. A huge solar storm was predicted by NASA months ago that could even destroy all microchips.. lol

  • Is that real time? I've never been fortunate enough to be even remotely close to an Aurora.

  • @Joff62 This is 2 hours and 20 minutes compressed down to 28 seconds. It's about 300x normal speed.

  • Green rhymes with hair...

  • nature is so badass

  • Earth why you so amazing? Can't wait for a good solar flare so we can see that all over the globe.... sure it'll crush our infrastructure, but think about having a rainbow swirly sky for a few hours..... in broad daylight

  • cool!

  • DAMN NATURE , YOU'RE SCARY! :)

    (love thisss!)

  • HOW DID A VIDEO ON A AURORA SPARK A RELIGIOUS ARGUMENT?!!

    >.<

  • That was the aurora it was the crack smoke from pontiac in the atmosphere.

  • Wow...I cannot believe all the stupid replies about religion and beliefs,etc..who cares!

Like or dislike the video and MOVE ON!! After all, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one, and every one smells like shit...

Cheers to all the people who just love to hear themselves talk, or who like to push their beliefs onto others simply because YOU !!THINK!! you are right...your not. everyone is wrong, and not one person has the right answer.period. have faith in that!

  • That's sooo pretty!!!

  • @wyanbill

So your belief in God is only for fear of repercussions? So you let fear dominate your decision making? You must be one strong believer in faith then (Just kidding- you're an ignorant asshole).

  • Cool video.

That telephone pole in the SW corner looks like a big crooked cross and the whole thing kind of looks like a big graveyard. It sort of looks like the world after a cataclysm of some sort.

I have seen the Northern Lights a couple of times in Lake City, MI where a bunch of us go to get out of the city. I stayed out on the roof for a few hours one night observing. Its one of those WTF things you have to see in person.

  • I,don't know about what people committed on the bible, I was watching the History2 channel, they were doing segment on the bible and the world around us, in the beginning it opens up the comment"we do not dispute nor endorse these findings we merely present the facts" For two hrs the produce evidence that Noah's ark was found in the mountains, David and Goliath story had some truth in how Goliath was killed. What is so wrong in ones belief in Jesus, after all it is my right.True?

  • @monster10090 Yeah thats right, But of course im leaving for Basic Training in 4 days.

  • nice colours

  • I was able to see part of this! I am 15 years old, I live in Wisconsin and it was the first time ever seeing the aurora borealis (northern lights). It was amazing!

  • aweasome :)

  • meh, in canada we see this almost every night.

  • @matttatts Does that make it less remarkable?

  • preparence ya llegaron los extraterrestres y como les parece que son carnívoros y lo que mas le va a gustar es toda esta cantidad de humanos que sobre abundan en esta planeta. Por fin va a disminuir la plaga humana en la tierra

  • Nice Editin' Y'all',,,SWAG'

  • that was so beautiful!! i wish i was there ;(

  • Nice ;)

  • Nice...

  • Surely the title should say Aurora Borealis Timelapse, right?

  • It's so....magical. Wish I could see something like this where I live.........

  • So beautiful....

  • Hey OGallen, Stop psychologically projecting your stupidity onto others.

  • beautiful

  • @OGallen lol

  • @OGallen Calm down and get a brain.

  • чёткО

  • pretty sure i heard a faint Nyan...

  • I never saw the northern lights for myself.

There was one time when I was visiting my Dad's side of the family for vacation, and my cousin was on his way back from bringing his gf home. And the guy didn't even bother to tell me that there were spectacular northern lights going on! Man that pissed me off! >=(

  • I have seen the northern lights only once in my lifetime. 10/01/1961 in a little farm town named Armstrong creek, Wisconsin. Useless to describe it with words.

  • ZOMG i saw neon cat fly by

  • is this fake or real?

  • @Muqea Dude this is real.....

  • Beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

  • add some music dude!

  • @ArjunaTulasi I hope this is not a serious comment.

  • hell yeah i was out driving that night i parked my truck and looked up i was like holy fuck thats fucking awsome!!! and of course my camera didnt have enouph juice for any type of shots

  • Why tf did noone tell me this :/

  • thats fucking awsome!

  • bello!!! gracias al que compartio el video ^_^

  • You can fucking see the earth moving!!

  • @SpadeGrenadeKO Not your fault. I liked your comment. Too many pointless cussing responses coming off it though.

  • Its just like Minecraft with the moving stars... man Notch was spot on.

  • Has anyone ever thought about aliens created us and they come once in awhile just to check up on us...

  • @railrat69 if aliens created us, why would they stick probes up our asses?

  • @TJankris they know we liek it

  • @railrat69 then who created those aliens? why not one alien? what is alien? something you don't see,you don't know so much about? then why not call him God? is it bad to call him God? just asking

  • @UnderTetouan um idk you tell me

  • All this arguing only leads to heavy panting and hay rolling, I find a good argument makes hay much better

  • Awesome!

  • Instead of arguing, you should think of the perfect song that goes with this video.

  • Arguing on Youtube will get you nowhere. This comes to no surpise, cause thats all people want to do, argue. Frankly, theres no problem with either. As the beautiful Canadian electropop singer LIGHTS sings:

"Its a science but there's room to believe" -"Fourh Dimension"

    Thats a obvious hint to look it up the song ;-}

  • NYAN CAT DID IT !

  • @SpadeGrenadeKO Boom.

  • I believe that we are what we eat and surrounded by!

  • ÔÔÔÔ aurora, tu veio aqui pra se fudê!

  • I think its just that haarp machine the government has. They have one in alaska, if you ever watch ice road truckers its always green.

  • Why the fuck is everyone talking about Religion..? Just enjoy the fucking video..

  • @TropikanaX some people enjoy it more by debating ones feelings. It enlightens the soul

  • @TropikanaX

Look at the favorites this kid has its World of Warcraft and other nerdy retarded shit move out of your parents house then maybe you will believe in Religion cause your sorry ass would be on the streets.

  • @RainbowCloud321 ROFLMAO! Hahaha, good thing hell doesn't exist. Sincerely, logical thought.

  • @RainbowCloud321 wow... you're really stupid. Don't reply, No intentions to argue with a wall.

  • I'm sorry but, I grew up in a religious family and was spoon fed my beliefs for 20 or so years. Then I started looking around...looking at what I'd been told vs what I was actually seeing, and I started to realize that what I'd been taught was false. Religion is the last line of defense for rationalizing subjects we don't understand, and as our understanding has increased, religion has lost ground. When I look at religion, I don't see the wisdom of God, I see the wisdom (and fallibility) of men.

  • @urborg74 Completely agree with that.

  • 0:17 ... mind blower, I love it and thx for sharing. I'm not going to debate religion vs science, coz your vid is so cool to be ruined.

  • @lakefxnet He's true, sorry.

  • SubhanAllah how nice

  • Haha one of my friends posted on facebook that they saw the northern lights.. im like that such bullshit..then i see this..

  • @SpadeGrenadeKO explain how the universe was created if matter can't be created or destroyed

  • @psaelite You my friend needs to get out of church a little bit more and go read some books about science and the first bacterias that developed and transform into what we are as of today. And that it's actually proven. Also start thinking about how many bibles as been made since the beginning of all time and how many versions and PLEASE tell me how can you tell if the story that your reading as of today is true of false? is it fake or real?. No answers related to "faith" please..

  • @DjKbal hey ignorant dumbass. answer the question, "how was the universe be created if matter can't be created or destroyed?"

  • I'm not willing to start a discussion. But look how ironic life is...There's a Christian wood cross right there and the universe showing its own beauty which most people in the world don't appreciate it, they think it's made by their stupid gods. Earth's poisoned, hopefully it will clean up one day and people will be able to share their intelligence with useful things instead of stupid beliefs.

  • @MrIsayTheTruth I am not willing to start a discussion myself, but there are plenty of faiths (polytheistic) that recognise the world as sacred and worthy of great respect and care. :)

    Don't generalise, please. ;)

  • @MrIsayTheTruth That's not a cross, it's a power line. I understand what you're saying though and I agree.

  • me quede dormido pero buen video..

  • WHat does this mean? Its so bright so vivid

  • @xtoxicfog sorry man no thumbs up 4 u=(

  • @DrunkenShyGuy Not trying to get thumbs and never got thumbs up :3 i was just making a stupid reffecerce (Nice usernamer)

  • @xtoxicfog thanks!

  • google whoisgoddotorg

  • Beautiful scenes of nature, we comin for you nigga!!!!!!

  • beautiful WOW

  • @SpadeGrenadeKO If you believe that "God didn't do it".... then who/what did decide to make that happen?

  • @TheEelBlaster No one "decided" it. Read a book on astronomy... or at least Wikipedia it.

Either way just don't make this a religious debate. Seriously, it's just a video about sky colors.

  • God is just dog spelled backwards. Any questions?

  • @dukeofchaos78 It doesn't matter at all what you call him, it only matters that he made the earth, and everyone, and you, and he sent his son to save you from going to hell!

  • @TheEelBlaster Yeah, I've been on strong drugs too. I started believing things, but now I've got common sense again! :D

  • @dukeofchaos78 HaHaHa...you're funny..! The question is : When darkness fills your eyes forever and the lost souls start pushing you through the darkness tearing at your flesh...will you be calling out for a dog or GOD?

  • @FYRFOX198 He'll probably just be wondering what freaky drug he's on.

  • in my place, we cant even see more than 2 stars.. too much buildings.

  • beautiful sky i wish it was the same where i lived

there is so much light pollution where i live i can't even spot the sun in clear daylight

  • Aww... I wish I could see this in person. Too bad, since I live waay south.

  • @LPMineCraft That's wonderful! i live in the Philippines so definitely no aurora's here

  • its so beautifull but soon it might be destroyed by the human factories and all that too bad so we can enjoy it as much as we can : /

  • wow....

  • one of the most beutiful thinks i have ever seen

  • This is a good and funny video foreal.

  • amazing stuff

  • I guess this is cool.... 0:14 Wow this is amazing!!! OMG!!!

  • Who cares? The McRib is back

  • @rarariotify You, my friend, just said a mouthful.

  • As if I needed more proof that God is real....beautiful

  • @monster10090 I like all you religious types saying "Isn't god wonderful?" when you see something like this in nature but fail to give him/her credit for epidemics, natural disasters, famine, etc.

  • @donnybgood what, are you like 12 yrs old? Haven't you ever read an insurance policy, the US constitution or The American Bar Association website?

All believe in God and Acts of God, and morals & ethics.

Open you mind and read a bible. It's stupid to not believe in something you haven't done an exhaustive study on just bc u don't want to be held responsible for your own actions.

    Grow up.

  • @Zapppo More like "Open a science book, and go to school. It's stupid to believe in something you think will give you eternal life, just because you are too afraid of death and the truth about everything. Grow up."

I can't believe people refuse to see things that are logical, then make up some bullshit to make a book about it. It's not a single thing in the Bilbe that makes sense, and if you can't see it, I have bad news for your mental health. Also, the US constitution doesn't prove anything-.-

  • @FrizzleyProductions

    /watch?v=Iwo4Zq-CyFs

    /watch?v=14YM7MP6HzY

I'm not afraid of death, not at all.

    you are just willfully blind

'splain this Lucy, the bible never changes, but science keeps 'learning and changing' and clai

  • @donnybgood

I would respond but you probbly some 12 year old nerd who thinks its cool to be atheist cause that's what your gaming friends think. Hit puberty first kid and maybe we can have a debate.

  • سبحن الله

  • It is now on my bucket list to see this in person

  • Cool northern lights! this is fast forward how many times X?

  • That's amazing. How long was the actual elapsed time of this video? 10 minutes 30, an hour??

  • thank god for our magnetic shield blocking all the sun shizzle

  • que chevere
