And being Adelaide's highest rating and paied newsreaders is a pretty plum gig. I am sure she got offered weeknights when Creasy died, she just didn't want it.
Holy shit! Why was the date a different font??? Why were UNPROFESSIONAL CIRCULAR WIPES USED for the opener? I think they would have had the equipment, they just weren't bothered!
Compared to what they dish out today, this is as close as they have ever gotten to looking like a proper Nine Network bulletin. Wipes and date font are the smallest of differences.
NWS have always recorded their openers. The problem is the opener audio would be recorded in a sound booth, so the studio live audio does not match. At least TVQ do their recorded openers properly!
