This is more of a proof of concept bike. No one in their right mind should buy one of these unless you are rich and want it as a collector. For 500 US dollars you can get a real e-bike conversion kit and turn your bike into a 23 mph speed, 20 mile range 36 volt electric, bike without peddling. Use a 48 volt battery and you can get up to 36 miles per hour speeds but anything over 20 you need a motorcycle license for. Do a google search for e-bikes. You can do Much better than this for Much less.

Hi, the e-Rockit cost 28,900.- Euro = $ 41,600.- = £ 26,000.-

The seller himself states on his website to have manufactured and sold 10 units in 2009.

I personally think the Brammo Enertia is the more reasonable decision.

I have received confirmation by email, that this model is going to be available in Europe within 1st or 2nd quater of 2010.

The price is with $ 7,999.- = 5,555.- Euro = £ 5,000.- much more reasonable and attractive.

The Brammo is just an electric motorcycle. The rider of an eRockit gets to pedal it just like a bicycle and can keep up ith traffic. Exercise AND quick transportation!

I think if the e-RockIT was manufactured in high quantities, the price could go down to 4000.- Euro / $5500.- very easy.

How many people drive (alone) with a car that weights over 1 ton, only a short distance ... daily ?

There is so much potential for improvement.

I was kinda shocked that it cost about $40,000. That's absolutely absurd. I was very optimistic about this until I heard that price. It needs to be lowered to sell anything and/or make a difference. Great job, though. Just bad price :(
