  • such a dope old-school beat. I feel like I should be riding shotgun in a caprice, smokin a blunt.

  • the who is a good band

  • Its Actually

Ahmad Jamal - Ghetto Child and they also sampled the same Track In

    Gang Starr-Illest Brother

  • whats the original song of this beat?

  • A-Plus murdered this beat. I heard this back 97 or 98, in high school. Back when college radio put out serious underground hip-hop. Not rap, hip-hop.

  • I love this song from 1997. This beat is amazing. A-Plus murdered this and "The Life" for Mystic.

  • Ahmad Jamal - Jamalca

A-Plus Killed It With This One

  • quick story about this song: when i was in high school (97 i think) i heard this remix on late night college radio, while i was on acid. i dunno if it was the drugs but i remember it being the best song i have ever heard, i was mezmerized by the beat. anyways it took my about 4 years to find it, i bumped into a plus downtown vancouver and told him the story, he actually had a copy in his backpack with some other b sides, was very cool.

  • he says dah becuase of the raw energy he's feeling after putting that down! dope ass remix. one of the RARE times it might be better

  • Fuckin classic, a rare gem

  • "DAH!!" is my favorite part. i bust up laughing too when i heard that

  • i love this remix... that bein said anyone w/the orig or that of steady slangin share the wealth

  • the origional is on youtube already

"The Who" it's on the 3rd Eye Vision album

  • a plus kills this. Listen to that bass line

  • @zazgodagomb9- yea bass line was my favorite part

  • this is real hip hop

  • love this man, my fav chill out track

  • Haha@3:41 why did he say "DAH!" I was listening to this in library and and started laughing when he said that but almost embarrassed myself.

  • haha, it's del, man. who knows?

  • oh yeah, smokin' some goodie from frisco can make you a little loopy haha.

  • Hahaha I actually couldnt stop laughin after hearin' that

  • @BlackGrass805 He actually says BYEEEE!

  • @gmd149 oh haha ok thanks :)

  • The beat contains the same sample with Do That (Lord Finesse Remix)/Walkin' Large

  • heard this same sample recently.. cant remember where from tho....

  • Sample is from Ahmad Jamal. Album: Jamalca. Track: Ghetto Child. Dope album from Jamal!

  • imo, this beat is just as smooth as the original.

  • seriously, i never thought they could get away with a different beat because the original was so sick. Love both of em!

  • original beat goes with the song better inmy opinion

  • deffo

great beat, but would work better with different lyrics....hard to top the original, still nice tho

  • Thanks, I haven't heard this in years!

  • Fuck, I love this beat.

  • Comment removed

  • y the fuck wud they not do a original song to this beat???

  • good question

  • @Hieroglyphics4Life I know and the worst part is Common already beat them to it, doing a track on a beat that sounds almost exactly like this one

    It's called "They Say"

Not as good is Hiero though

  • @StocktonTV... Bro, this shit came out YEARS before the Common joint... No disrespect but don't comment on shit if you don't know what your talkin about.

  • @neffone77 I know Hiero's been doin it before Common, I was just telling the guy the Common used the sample too(not as good as this) and brought it to the mainstream first.

And please don't insult my knowledge of hip hop, it's very disrespectful and incorrect anyway.

  • @StocktonTV .. PLEASE!... You said Common "BEAT THEM TO IT". Clearly, that sounds like you thought Comm did it first. You worded it wrong then.

  • @neffone77 Maybe so but I was referring to mainstream exposure, not origin

  • who the entertainers stompin' thru like crosstrainers can't be no plainer

  • ITS MISSING THE CAT THATS ON THE BEAT!

  • original is way better

  • Beat Is Dope

  • anyone know where I can get the instrumental???

  • beat and flows are impeccable

  • hm. not sure if my last post went through. so....the sample is from Ahmad Jamal. The track is called Ghetto Child. The album is Jamalca. A lot of good shit from Jamal. If you haven't got in to him....now is the time.

  • man this remix put a whole different feel to this! love it love it love it

  • Is the beat and melodies itself original? Or are they using a song from another group? Just wondering.

  • this is a remix done by a-plus. the og song is on the heiroglyphics album, full circle.

    knowing

  • 3rd eye Vision

  • dude you seriously have to hear the original it makes you want to dance like a retarded monkey its fuckin awesome.

but yea i love this song haha

  • does everyone know the sample?

what would be very nice :D:D

  • i thought this song was called tajai

  • Way better then the album version. Wish it was on CD somewhere.

  • awsome song

  • where did u get this from cuz i cant find it any where

  • i think this only came out on vynil

  • the only place i can find it is on itunes but i dont want to pay a daller

  • Are you 14 or something? You cant afford one dollar for one of the most chillax songs ever?

  • no i got it now cuz i got a gift card

  • I think the most simply way to get that track is to download it via YouTube to MP3 converter

  • Nice :)

  • bizzy bone
