Help, I have a mess. Everything was fine until I tried to crochet up to 9 inches. First the hat started curling up, so to fix this problem, I held my thread looser. Now I have this big mess what do I do? (already pulled it out completely one time)
I made the slouch hat and when I got to the 9" length, it was no bigger than a regular hat. I kept crocheting until I got to 13" and it looks much better. Thanks for the instructions.
@lawawuu Okay. Good to know. Maybe I have a smaller head. The great thing about this pattern is you can make it your own and adjust it to please yourself!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I tried another tutorial before this one and ended up with some ginormous monstrosity of a hat. I'm really happy with how this hat came out. This was such an easy tutorial to follow, I'm going to try the other hats now. :D
Hey, I made this slouchy hat and it is a bit small for my head... it was really more of a practice anyways so it's not a big deal, but I was wondering what to do if I need a bigger diameter?
By the way, thanks for all these tutorials, they're really fun and great as a de-stressor from essays and midterms!
Thanks Beth I've made two of these for christmas presents and one for myself and like you suggested I got creative and added some flowers in different colours they look amazing.
hey , thanks so much for this tutorial x i followed it all the way to the end and thought the way you set it all out was fansatic and really clear to understand, i only started crocheting two days ago and im brand new to all the terms so your tutorial was great x its my mistake but ive finished my hat now and its too small , im guessing its my yarn its a 4ply but not very chunky so maybe thats why its to small . As a beginner though im glad it lookes like a hat x thanks again x sophie-lou-j x

Help!! the top of what I did has a hole that I can slide my finger through =[ how do I get rid of it without redoing everything?
Cherryummm 1 month ago
@Cherryummm take the tail of your yarn and use a tapestry needle run the yarn around the circle under the base of the stitches and pull it closed.

@ladydaghart, You can increase your stitches to make it larger and keep it from curling. Use a larger hook instead of trying to crochet looser.

@gilletteTBAMCG You can either use a larger hook, or add an increase round.
