I got a question. I was able to handle Kusha just fine and even have a Kusha set, now with the Kusha set theres a skill Terrain Damage Negate, I was told that'll stop damage from Luna/Teo's fire aura. Can you confirm that for me? I haven't tried it yet but Teo's on my hit list for Supremacy blade.

@TheBoltokPriest Yeah, Daora's set does exactly that. I use it myself against Teostra and Lunastra. It's also good for hammer/greatsword jobs as it has the quickcharge skill

Luna and Teo are still too hard for me D: only problem I have with those two is the fire aura and the charge and curve move. I broke Kusha's head with the Wyvern Blade "Blood" I broke everything on him on the 1st round :D

when fighting the kusha theres a glitch were if u come from the side over to area 7 and threw a paintball fast enough at it the wind is negated for most or all of the battle

Its probably worth clarifying a few things:

1) Kushala Daoras head can be broken with any weapon.

2) His SnS is called 'Black Sword'. Its made from Dark Stones/Pieces.

3) On Lunastra/Teostra, yellow sparks are long range, and orange sparks are short range.

@project0omega = I took my first one out in 2 quests (damage carries over, first repelled) using Eager Cleaver.

equipment isnt as important as knowledge and experience, hes offering you knowledge, use this knowledge and go get experience, i guaranteee if you pay attention the boss wont be that hard, i killed kusha my first time with ioprey and velociprey armor, all that matters is you know when to attack and when to run, and your weapon is strong enough to at least guarantee a repel in 50 minutes... virtualy any weapon will do that

if u will be or are going to kill a kusha now or later get a lighting weapon or dragon i use true devil slicer

to get that you need to get a iron katana and carry on ugrading it till u reach eache cleaver and then get that and then u grade it 2 more the u have true devel slicer

Kusha is like made for LS training. Its possibly the easiest Elder their is, besides Chameleos. When Kusha does the breathe thing stand next to it's head and get 1-2 hits in, roll and repeat. Very easy.

probably the hardest thing in monster hunter is to adapt to guild monsters. cause they have more hp then the elder version. i say stick with the armor you have right now and just attack it calmly. its the same fight but just longer

you can kill them

you're just only dealing enough damage to repel them, not kill

try being more offensive and damage them more

it should only take 2-3 rounds to kill them

i do it in 1 round

i think he is using the black sword or something like that which is a fatalis sns but at it early stage and doesnt need fatalis materials to make it i can't remember tha attack but it has up to yellow sharpness and i think 100 or 200 dragon attribute.

a way to pernanatly stop wind/fire is to break the horns. a temporary solution is poison and flash bombs. what i do if poison wears off and he get wind is flash him and keep hittin the head till he flinches. that stops it for a while

he was the 1st elder dragon i beat, in the elder quest just try and do as much damage as possable, then after 25mins he will run, then after that there should be a follow up quest

i say u should train fighting trigrex and get full set, with the auto-tracker- quick eating and stuff

if u can get a nice LS or GS, i could never beat him with a hammer, if all else fails try the Online guild hall or Adhoc with a friend

Well.

The good news: no monster materials needed...

The bad: You can only get it from Ruststones. Small Ruststones to be exact. It requires loads of Earth Crystals too, so you'll need to grind quite a bit for it, though it is useful. It can repel Azure Lao Shan.

ok, so I can kill kusha easily with either devil slicer or tigrex LS. however i cant slay luna. I have dark sword and almost have titernia. have full tigrex, Bdiablos, and Obituary. what should i do?

The way I do it, is to use a light bowgun. Island of the Gods or the Rajang Gun are best, but, any powerful Light bowgun or Heavy Bowgun should do the trick.

Go to the highest part of the volcano, and use the one way path to the area like a ring. Then, stay on the ledge, and bomb the Luna with Clust Lv2's when she arrives.
