  • I have this one ;))

  • One of my favourite tracks of ever...

  • ooooooooh sweeeeeet

i just found this on traxsource with some previosuly unreleased mixes!

    check it, unkwn records category

  • @nonstopclubber I just bought all three mixes! Link is in description.

  • First there was ... Montana Sextet - "Who Needs Enemies"

    Then came ...

Groove Committee - I Want to Know

Groove Committee II - Dirty Games

Soft House Company - What you Need

    Solution - Feels so Right

Much fun to be had on the dancefloor if, like me, you have copies of all four of these - give it up, give it up!

  • Chicago House Preservation Society Classic!!

  • The Montana Sextet - "Who Needs Enemies" original source for this good floorfiller back in the 80;s I still play it often

  • harddrive deep inside came out waayy after this , and it copied the bassline directly from this. hardrive also sampled the drums from cloud 9 , do you want me baby. i can confirm this because i bought the orig 12' vinyl releases, all as the came out, and the order they came out from 1991 to 1993. i have read interview where this was mentioned also. victor simonelli is awesome !

  • the bassline sounds simular to Hardrive - deep inside

  • dirty dirty games...

  • Wow. I've heard that piano line in so many house mixes over the last 20 years, and never knew where it came from. Thanks for the enlightenment.

  • one word, EDUCATION.

  • A simply wicked tune! Top Class Stuff. What more can I say. 11 out 10.

  • I Heart House... gotta have house! gotta have house!

  • yes, this came out in '91

i have the orig nu groove 12' vinyl

  • Easy! Chuuuuuuuune!!

  • Yeah, Those Guys "Tonight" , Softhouse Company "What You Need" ,

Montana Sextet "Who Need Enemies" , even a little "Luv Dancin"ish snare kinda rythm goin on in there.... also check out Hardrive feat Barbar tucker "deep inside", that came out a couple of years after this and copies the "I Want You To Know" bassline rythm also. "Deep Inside" also samples and loops the drums from Cloud 9 "Do You Want Me Baby".

All Great Timeless Classics for sure !!

  • Yamaha tx 81 bassline still rocks!!!

  • Love this & the Soft House Co sample, Victor S classic.....

  • Cool!!!!

    Thx!

  • Simonelli has sooooooo many other tracks. This isn't event the tip of the iceberg. I have been collecting his releases for years now. I just see his name and buy it. I've only found so few of his tracks on youtube (searching with his name). The guy is a timeless musical maestro ! I just this week got something of his out on Map Dance Records from Switzerland titled What She Did.

  • @nonstopclubber

Along with this, if you have never heard it, his mix of Africa Freedom (Cape Town Club Mix) by Z.A.M. is pretty special (especially at about 4 in the morning). Then there's Ease the Pressure - Subliminal Aurra, although the real credit on that track belongs to those who are Justified and Ancient. Also a couple of sublime "gospel-house" tracks that came out on UMM - can't remember what they were called.

All in all, a bit of a player. Never heard him play out though...

  • this track now is now available on the vjsinc website (aka virtual-jams website) in the nu groove records category

  • whats the tune with this piano sample that goes "co co co co coz i wantcha",co co co co coz i need ya"?

  • Soft House Company - What You Need

  • it was the wmc o9 party at vagabond

  • This was just re-released on Vinyl and Louie Vega rocked it at this years WMC in Miami. The video is here on youtube (and i was even at the party), He looped the intro for about 15 minutes, while Mr V did shout outs, then gave respect to Victor Simonelli on the Mic, and dropped the Track. Check the video ! Great Track !

  • Beautiful track.I'm surprised I never heard this when I was a teenager?WOw

  • 1st time hearing this ....classic @ timeless

  • Immense & unmistakeably American.

    Recommended.

  • beautiful record!!!!!!

  • Used to have this 12" back in the early '90s. Still a jam.

  • Nice beats, vocals and piano. Tune!!

  • Paul Trouble KISS FM! Very nice swing

  • Absolutely!...'Save me' by Mellow Man is another that takes me back to those golden saturday nights on Kissfm that started at 9pm. Sarah HB and Tee Harris rounded it off before i made my way to the MoS. Magical days.

  • I was there too! Had to catch two night buses to get to Elephant & Castle but it was so worth it! Loved everything that Trouble played on his show...was a regular at Trouble's House @ Legends on a Thursday. Those were the days...

  • my favorite tunes for a long time - luv it... uplifting

  • I heard a recording of one of the Last parties that Larry Levan played in Japan before his passing, and he worked this track for over a half hour straight.

He must of had four copies !!

When Shelter in NY first opened, this track was an Anthem for them.

Every single time I would go, this track was the doing it to the dance floor.

Sounds as good now as it did then.

    Thanks for posting.

I also found this on the vjsinc website as download, along with so many other timeless classics.

  • Man, I remember this tune. This one of one of the final tunes that Larry Levan used to spin before he passed on!! RIP Larry and LONG LIVE the Paradise Garage!!!!

  • Ahh....another song Ken Collier used to play at Heavens in Detroit. I always used to wonder where he got these bad ass house tunes. RIP

  • This is STILL MY JAM! Victor Simonelli! Everything from NU Groove slams!
