  • Bart! This is one of your many cousins Wade. Grandson to your great Aunt Sally. Awesome to see what your doing and how successful the band has become. I remember growing up coming to your mom's house and always wanting to play your drum kit or watch you play. Good stuff man!

  • @BigBillLucas WOW!!! Big Bill when you leave a comment you don't mess around! Thanks for taking the to time watch and post. Next time I see Roy Burns I will have to double check with him on this lick. He was the one who wrote it out and taught it to me. Maybe he has it wrong too.

    Thanks again.

  • Hi Rob, I like the way you have your toms are mounted. It looks like they're sitting on the rim mounts instead of hanging. I like the way it looks, Does it change the tone at all? I just ordered a Gretsch purwood beech kit and I'll try the your way and see how it sounds. Thanks for the idea. Dave

  • @CAMCOMAN Dave, Thanks for the question. No it does not effect the sound at all, and it really makes life easier when changing the heads. I must say you made a great decision getting the Purwood kit. I've been happy with mine for years. If you have any more questions please let me know, and thanks for watching.

    All my best

  • OMG

  • That was great bart don't pay any mind to bkrider9.

  • Thanks so much. I hadn't noticed someone had said something bad. In answer to his post, it is a standard BR lick taught to me by Roy Burns. Buddy played it as a two bar break on the snare. I moved the accent around the kit using the ride and toms.

    Thanks for watching.

    Bart

  • I don't hear Buddy Rich in this at all. Maybe you could cite one of BR's recordings so we know to what you are referring?

  • @bkrider9 I agree,Buddy Rich???somebody's grabbing straws in quicksand.
