@amyvu5253 No, I didn't play by ear (see the music stand?). I guess you must've turned annotations off, cause there's a pretty big caption at the start saying "sheets in description" :P
@linnaes GOMEN!!!!! i thought the stand was just there and i read the discription, but i missed sheets. hehe i'm kinda blind (not litterally) and MAYBE i read the caption n forgot. i remember stuff from long timeS ago but not stuff i wanna do rigth then... XDDDDDD if u were trying to be mean, im sorry...
GAHHHHH!!! This is too good now im addicted to this!!! But i should start studying for my history exam soon O.O my music teacher told me to listen to professional clarinet players because of their quality of sound etc etc...i think this is awesomely professional and it gave me the goosebumps :3 and I miss the My Dearest cover so much!!! Also, arigatou for the music sheets!! :D
@tentenpiczo lol that's no good, sounds like you need to get off Youtube and focus :) <-- actually I could use my own advice XD I'm glad you liked this recording so much though haha, but I don't think it can act as a substitute for actual pro recordings. Cause my sound's still a long, long way off from the likes of Sabine Meyer or Charles Neidich =/ And as always, I'm happy to provide sheets! ^_^
@heyaanimerocksheya I have heard of that name (think it was in a video of Martin Frost doing some klezmer), but I'm not familiar with him. Nor am I a big fan of klezmer for that matter XD Don't get me wrong, it's really fun to play and all, but IMO it lacks the depth of classical :P
@linnaes i love klezmer ^^" i think it's more deeper then classical :D but to each his own opinion =D my teacher has her own klezmer band. you can see her online on youtube ( not her klezmer band but as a supporting clarinettist for a famous klezmer singster :p )
OMG! I knew you were going to do this song! I just knew it! OMG your standing, a new taste! This is very well played while standing! I find it a bit more difficult to play while standing cuz my back isn't straight when playing, it makes my air support very bad! But wow this has a really nice melody and tone to it! I'm definitely doing this song. Looking forward to your next cover! ^_^
@linnaes i have recently found out that, how easier the reed blows, the worser my sound gets, it gets kind of edgy and i get these little quick squeeks in between. or it's just because i'm playing very badly ... =(
@heyaanimerocksheya try getting some new cork and always use at least a 3 1/2 reed if you've been playing for at least 4 years. It used to happen to me and now I never forget to apply cork greese when necessary. If your clarinet wiggles at any joints that means you need cork as well so get a tune up and if their are no problems then try out and look for your favorite kind of reed. Hope this helps
@Lightflame421 Not necessarily true, you shouldn't ever say "use at least an x reed". It depends on too many factors, for example mouthpiece opening and facing length. A size 3 reed on a B45 will probably feel about the same as a 3.5 on an M30. Not to mention, hardness varies from brand to brand. Apparently a 3.5 Vandoren is equivalent to a Mitchell Lurie 4. I would say, just play whatever feels and sounds comfortable, and don't be pressured into buying harder reeds :)
@Lightflame421 yeah, when i was playing 4 years i was still using 2's :D now i switch between 2.5's and 3's (All Vandoren) I play on a B45. I don't think it's my clarinet, i just need to practice more i guess xD and see that all my valves are closed. sometimes my bridge isn't connected right and that makes that some valves stay open ... ^^"
@TheChibiOfDoom The original as in the rock version, or the original piano version? Cause I'd be *really* honored if you think this is on par with, for example, Wotamin :D
I think Koman posted both version of his off vocal track at Piapro. Search for "Calc.piano.ver オケ" at Piapro (don't forget to specify 音楽 at the search box) and you should be able to download the track (Piapro account needed). If my ear is correct, I think the F# version is the 原キー one.
This I really really like! Calc became one of my favourite vocaloid songs and i got goosebumps while listening!! Just awesome dude! Nice angle too and i guess the upload was too slow and you decided to sleep huh =P? Very nice done dude!
@Lokyin24 Haha happy to hear that! ^_^ I did hope that the key change, color change and introduction of harmonies could have that kind of effect XD So, glad you enjoyed it :D Indeed the upload was gonna take an hour and it was already like 1:30 when I started it >.<
You move funny

@Norahtj2468 lmao, you think so? Well, when you look at actual performers and musicians, they tend to move around quite a lot too.

@AnimeWatch3r1 Looks like you're a psychic then :)
About the standing thing, you should work on fixing your posture then. It should be the easiest way to play and helps with air support.

Very well done :> I love the tone of your clarinet and it fits well with piano.

@jobofish Oh, thank you Jobo-san! ^_^ This was actually largely inspired by your violin cover, cause that's how I discovered the song XD

oh god, you play the clarinet so smoothly and soft Q///A///Q
it worked so well with the piano <333 GJGJ!!!
lovingMiyu 4 weeks ago
@lovingMiyu Thanks Miyu! That smoothness is one of the instrument's defining qualities. Or rather, it *should* be :P
And yep, I thought it worked pretty well too :D I certainly can't imagine doing this with the original version.
