@joshxxt It'll be going Free-2-Play this fall. If you are still curious about it, you should try it out then. :) I think its still fun. I've been playing for 3 years. The new player experience might be a bit less fun b/c so many people have leveled past it. But with F2P coming in the fall, there will be a bunch of new players again so grouping at early stages should be much like when Shadows first came out.

it's an upcoming Lotr game! (from the movies), it's about battleing all battles from the books, from the movies, and some extra... main capaing will take you 10 hrs. to compleat, but then there's multiplayer with MORE maps and it's suppose to be the main part of the game... (Left 4 Dead?)

Yeah i agree I was following this game back when it was MEO, but once turbine bought rights i knew this game was going to fail. Though i still stuck with it until release when i played the free trial... couldnt play it for more than a day before quiting in boredom. The first part is alright but after that you need a fellowship for everything and quests just got annoying. 1/5 for the game.

yes you do interact with some of the characters but not too frequently as the storyline of the game invovlves protecting them.

Yes you visit the places liek that in the game though what they mainly did was take places that were in the book but werent put into the movie and brought them to life

and I'd say there's alot less than wow but we'll see

2. Well, they have not expanded the game south yet. It is all set in Eriador, which includes the Shire, Rivendell, and Bree. Rivendell and Bree are two of the biggest cities in LOTRO at the moment. They will eventually go south, but it will probably take a long time.

3. Turbine has not released the population numbers.

They don't say. What is known is that there will be balrogs (more than one) they will be hard, but they won't be as powerful as the one in Moria. And they will be part of the story. LotrO has the best graphics of any mmorpg around and has the potential to have the biggest mmorpg world to date. You might say...yeah...so do the others. They can just add and add and add. No telling if they will or not, though.

LotrO has one partial region completed, and it's as large as GW w/ expansions. It's a 4 hour walking distance from one end to the other.On the map, there are 5 other regions they plan to add on. 20 hours of walking? Yeah...

They're more than 6 regions. The regions are: Eriador, Rhovanion, Rhun, Forodwaith, Rohan, Gondor, Mordor, Harondor, Haradwaith, and Ithilien if you count only the big regions.

Counting small ones also you can add: Enedwaith, Minhiriath, Harlindon (these three are south of the current map and form part of Eriador), Ithilien (is sandwiched between Mordor and Gondor, Mirkwood (is part of Rhovanion but is also big enough to be a regon by itself), Fangorn(the same as description as Mirkwood, the Lost Lands (west of Rhun and east of Rohan, a big piece of scorched land destroyed by war and by nature's force).
