Just one question. Why the 1UZ instead of the 2jz? Is this for optimal use of the twin turbo or twin charge system? I still think it's better off with the 2jz, and not because of how much power it makes and blah blah... Not sure why people think a 2jz is better than the 1uz or any V8 really... the only reason the 2jz is good is because of the forged internals and how well they hold power. You can always get better internals for a 1uz but you can't add the power of 2 extra cylinders. You can stroke it but no matter what if you do the same thing to the 1uz or any V8 the V8 will always have more potential for power since it has 2 more cylinders (also good for power distribution i.e. better motor life).

@need2speed94 2jz internals are not forged. Toyota uses its own high temperature casting process to make pistons and rods. the crank is forged. the internals in the 1uz are made with the EXACT same process as the 2jz-gte.

With few little mods it really goes and i can still go shopping in it. Try driving around town in the 2.5tt with 1400bhp. These days its not hard to get 650bhp from a 1.6 civic with bolt on! but it doesnt mean i'd wanna drive it? Once again buddy.. - its not all about power! hope you get my point here.

The 1UZ-FE was made to be so strong, it superseded the 2JZ and 3S-GTE and is used in the Toyota Sprint series and Touring.. there are reasons. Plus it weighs little more than a 4A-GE so it like to be up front :D I need to get a hold of one and whack a couple turbos on it :D
