  • Nice train is that proto sound 1 or 2?

  • @22chiwi Thankyou ... That's P-2

  • This is how model trains should be ran. Im not into all that making a timetable and you have to do this or that. Its too anally retentive and would get on my last damn nerve. I own em to play with em and have fun with em, not work. I love your vids Tom and hope you make many more!

  • @MikenomeD Timetables are crapola! "lol". Hey, I really appr. the nice comment!

    THANK-YOU Sir!!!

  • make some vids soon you have a cool layout

  • great video! great channel!

    That's a cool-looking trains!! i´ve never seen☆

    i'm add ^_^

  • .........and it looks like a B-29 Enola Gay about to eliminate the whole thing!

  • I have some sad news for all O scale model railroaders and collectors. Guess what, I just looked at some rare videos of the C&O Allegheny steam engine and the tender is taller than any hopper car. Even the lower back part is as tall as a box car. So this means the MTH O scale Allegheny is not made to protoype specifications.

  • @bubblejomay

Except that the prototype Allegheny in the "rare videos" was probably not pulling "hi-top" hoppers that had their sides extended for additional (coke hauling) capacity, like the model in this video was.

  • That is a MASSIVE layout! It looks so real! Sounds real too! How big is it?

  • @Showgirl7able 30 by 44. Thanks ! :-)

  • Again, (posted before) a film so real-looking it looks like I'm really back in time watching genuine operations from a pace vehicle or a helicopter! How else could someone see an Allegheny or Triplex in action like this, even when they really worked the rails? How do you control the f'n camera?

  • @junkdeal Gese I really appr. the comment ! "ThankYou". As far as the Camera: A remote in one hand, and a remote on the other ... "that's it". :-)

  • I have just one question. How many cars was this engine pulling in this video?

  • @bubblejomay Around 80 (appx.) :-)

  • very very nice i like it

  • Hey Tom would you happen to have the product number of this loco I'd love to be able to find one

  • @viper1976xxx Gese 7ya know I don't ... GO TO "MTH Trains" and click product locator, then search "Allegheny" ... I'm sure you'll see it there. If you can't: LET ME KNOW and I will find out OK ? :-)

  • I'd have to rate this as one of my favorite videos man I love that loco what year is this one from Tom?

  • @viper1976xxx I'd say about 01' - 02' ?? ... Thanks so much !

  • NIce B-29! 1:50

  • Finally someone showed what alleghenys are built to do

  • Are those gar-graves track, if so I would like to see a clear picture of that crossover shown at 1:00 of the video.

  • Very Nice Tommy!

  • owww lol God Bless you Tommy

  • Love it awesome, may I also add I love the Enola Gay heading off into flight. Heading to the middle east to spread some Christmas cheer? LOL

  • AWESOME! Love the high speed pacing shots those were great! Fantastic as usual!

  • @rayman4449 LUV Ya Ray ! :-)

  • Thank-You one ans all from the heart ! ***** Means the world to me .****** :-)

*How many cars? : think about 76 or so ... *WHERE do I put all the cars?: in carts or in one of the many "holes" around the layout.

** Here in Mich. their is a REAL Prototype (of this Engine) in Henry ford Museum, "God it's BIG !"

  • Wow !! That's a sick video !! Man is that great all them cars... Hope my UP Big Boy 4-8-8-4 can pull like that... keep the video's coming... thanks....

  • Tommy,

This was such a pleasure to watch!! Someday I'll take you up on your offer and come over. I really enjoy watching those long trains rumble around the track!! Awesome as always!! Keep them coming!!

  • GEEEZE! that steamer can pull dude! just like the prototype!! kick ass video as always Tom!! what a smoker too!!

  • Ill tell you what Tom!!! you have some amazing trains!!! the C&O Allegheny is my FAVORITE loco of all time!!! thanks for sharing!!!

  • Wow that is a long train! How many cars are on it? Wonderful layout!

  • Nice video Tom! Really appreciate you taking the time to make this video. This video was really good! That engine is a pulling beast with all of those coal cars. Just like the prototype. Seeing one for real with your own eyes is amazing! The one I saw was in the B&O Railroad Museum. What kind of freight cars do you prefer? MTH, Lionel, Atlas? Thanks again!

  • Tommy,

That Allegheny is just plain SICk!!! And that whistle is just eerie sounding! I really want one like that some day! :-) I also loved all the NS and and CSX hoppers. Question: So you have all of the 100's & 100's of cars, How do you store them all? That's what I want to know! lol

  • It scared me seeing that Allegheny rounding those curves that fast! It's almost like a runaway train (minus the whistle). Nicely done Tom.

Merry Christmas, Postwar Max off the OGR Forum

  • Great video! You are the king of model rail!...Rich

  • nice pacing shots , any engine work for you has there work cut out for them. can you put some ATSF engines to use on your layout if you have any?

  • Weird- when I first clicked this video, it said it was private. Then I went back and clicked it again, and it played, saying it has 5 views.
