  • legal status of taiwan was determined when japs surrendered their claims of taiwan. they did not transfer sovreignty to anyone the japs did surrender their claims to the u.s. the u.s. holds the claims of taiwan in trust. it is a u.s. customs territory by usmg. occupation by treaty of san fran. the r.o.c. cannot be a gov-in-exile because after 1951 no one has sovreignty over taiwan, so the r.o.c cannot be in exile in what is technically a no mans' land dont turn your back on the r.o.c..

  • i think the republic of china will somehow be transitioned back to there mainland as the communists will dissolve themselves like the soviet union. then china and taiwan will be part of a democratic free china. thats my dream.

  • Taiwan should independent

    china shit

  • LOL! So he is really speaking in English. LOL!

Okinawa is a good example here. Even the US won't say the sovereignty is belong to Japan.

Of course, Japan have so many islands that they thought are theirs, such as Russia's South Kuril Islands, Korea's Dokdo Islands, China's Diaoyutai Islands. Let's hope there is no need for the second two nukes to teach them that don't forget their "unconditional surrender" at the end of WW2.

  • Taiwanese belong Tawanese

    Taiwanese is not Han chinese

  • @hantaehieu1 Well. i'm Chinese. I don't really care the Taiwan independence movement. But there is no way that Taiwanese are not Han Chinese. Even if Taiwan achieved it independence, the fact that most Taiwanese ans Han Chinese are the same race would not be doubted at all.

  • @herifuzhenguan3

Hey,if Taiwanese is han chinese,so Taiwanese has to speak Madarin, but Taiwanese speak Hokkien, hakka.

So Taiwanese is not Han chinese.

  • @BAIYUE1 uhm... Hokkien and Hakka are Han chinese... my father is Hokkien and my mother is Hakka, so what is your point? if I follow your logic, that would make me Taiwanese now? are you serious? if so, then i believe i am entitled to vote as Taiwanese right? i vote for unification! =)

i have no problem with ROC being politically separate from PRC, but what i have a problem with, is people making the stupid comparison of my ethnicity = taiwanese... can my heritage stay out of politic? thank you

  • @herifuzhenguan3 Taiwanese hump Chinese? ^_^ Tried that with a few Chinese girls before but not quite my taste. I prefer Taiwanese girls.

  • Funny and sad how often the defeated colonists are still messing the former occupied lands by playing the Free and Independent cards.

Republic of China is Free and Independent already, thank you. It just takes time for ROC and PROC to re-unify, peacefully and democratically. And surely they will.

  • @blondiefan0018 Why is it that you little head can still live in the states? Study history before you open your smelly mouth. Taiwan is the country of Democracy, not Dictatorship like the Chinese Communist.
