  • My mom always used to buy me the 64 pack for school every year. Good times...

  • SpeakMyMind: She never did that. She never physically abused us. But she was tough.

  • i always wanted the 64 crayola box. the reason why i wanted it was just because there was a sharpener in it.

  • I just saw a 150 pack of crayons at joann fabrics the other day. I almost died!

  • I'm 12, and I am hoping for a 96 pack for my 13th birthday! Wadaya think?! Every teen's dream huh?!

  • @Clanky159 I got a 64 pack in my birthday, a 10 years ago.

  • @newecreator cool

  • Hey I remember when crayon boxes had sharpeners in the back of them! Why don't they have those anymore?? If there are some still they are rare.

  • @AutismAuntie Only the 96 packs have the sharpeners on the back.

  • ((̲̅ ̲̅(̲̅C̲̅r̲̅a̲̅y̲̅o̲̅l̲̲̅̅a̲̅( ̲̅̅((>

  • This aired way before my time, but even I knew Crayola had the best crayons as a kid.

  • weirdo

  • We ate these

  • In fact, when I was in school, we all had the standard box of 8.

  • My grandmother (God rest her soul) used to buy me coloring books when I was a kid. Nowadays, kids want the latest expensive gadgets. You just don't see these kinds of commercials anymore.

  • I remember buying the box of 64 when I was in second grade and I took them into school. I was twirling one of them around in the sharpener, the teacher caught me doing this, and she said that she was going to twirl me in the crayon box. (I really didn't like my second-grade teacher anyway.)

  • this was in every kids home back in the day. I think the astronauts also took one box to the moon. it might still be up there. E.T. was on his way up with a coloring book last time i checked.

  • this is CREEPY O_O

  • today i shot a man now im drawing it

  • OMG built in sharpener.... you need some thing like $25.00 for a peice of plastic in the side of a box...

  • Sorry for the late reply, I did not intend to offend you so if I did please accept my apology? I know how you feel my aunt bought me a Fisher-Price Barn w/ Animals. You know the one that would moo like a cow whenever you opened the barn doors, it is indeed a great toy so don't get me wrong, the problem was I was 9 years old! LOL! I'll never forget that x-mas!

  • @ftsjr LOL

  • You must pay respect to the "Built In Sharpener"

The 64 Piece Crayon Boxruled the built in sharpener was really cool, it also had all of the cool colors like, maroon, burnt sienna, gold, copper, silver, etc.

If you didn't have a Six-Four with sharpener you were ghetto!

  • lmao nice.

  • girl: the cat can be playin with us too!

cat: nah i would rather not 0_0

  • Groovy!!!

  • Omg, i had a 24 box of these, but they were little crayons!

  • this was the good old time, Now kids are just playing GTA4. So sad.

  • A sad sign of the times for sure, cartoons used to be funny back in the day, now they are violent.

GTA4 is not for children but the world is full of clueless parents.

  • @bectiursyt It is sad I myself play more gta4 than color I think I might color more now.

  • Hehe...sorry...the accent at the begginning makes me laugh.

'I wonder how the CRAYEHNS felt...'

LMAO. Thx for putting this up.

  • Whoa.....

  • I wished they had more fleshtones, and also wished the sharpener in the back didn't eat 'em up.

np: Savoy Brown "Raw Sienna & Other Shades Of Brown"

  • You had to hand it to Crayola though when it came to color inventions. 8 true colors and 56 uneven variations, with names that could've been used for fragrances. Anyone ever use each and every one?

  • I would think most of the more 'creative' kids did (as I), but maybe those frustrated with their pathetic art talents as a child wound up probably breaking in half the less used colors (Periwinkle, perhaps?) in anger. Whaddya think?

  • My little dandlelion crayon broke today. but the tip of the crayon only broke :|

  • Well if you had a 64 Piece box you could use the nifty "Built-In" sharpener!

The box is a marvel of engineering the back row is elevated for easy crayon access, it also creates a reservoir for the shavings from the sharpener. Totally portable and no mess from sharpening.

  • Blue-Green, Green-Blue, Orange-Yellow, Yellow-Orange, Red-Violet, Blue-Violet, they were stretching it for sure.

    Periwinkle???????

    Burnt Sienna?????

    Sea-Green!!!!!!!!!!!

  • CDCB: I didn't like her in the first place.

  • I used to have these crayons when I was in school, but we only had the box of eight. I bought the box of 64 because I liked it. One day, when I was second grade, I was sharpening them in class, and the teacher told me that if I didn't stop it, she was going to twirl me in the crayon box.

  • That must have made you feel terrible. I feel bad for you.

  • @nanlisa that sounds like child abuse lol.

  • that ain't the sixties. seventies maybe.

  • 1968. I don't think they changed the box printing style until the 1980s.... Does that work for you?

  • @musicom67

It was during 1978, to be exact, when Binney & Smith adopted a new corporate logo with the serpentines. The 1978-84 boxes added the B&S serpentine logo on the front, as well as indicating the crayon count and size.
