Just saw 4x100 Man's relay in Beijing, Americans won. Camera found him among other spectators on the seats. Gorgeous man. He was sitting there and knock tears from his eyes. He misses it, I can tell.
A lot of people think he quit too soon. As a former Olympic swimmer myself; I can testify to the fac that it's REALLY stressful. You either quit while you can still have a life or you burn out at the top and crash at the bottom. He made the right choice for himself. But Thorpie will always be missed in swimming. Elenorsca: Ian is 6 feet 4 inches tall.
"Come Back Thorpie"? so he gets his ass kicked bad. Is that what you want? He's 26 now hasn't swum for more than two years. If he comes back Park, Phelps,etc are going to kick his ass pretty bad.
i wanted to quit swimmer for good,but the moment i see this video i feel like going back to train for swimming,it is because it is ian thorpe that inspire me to compete in swimming,i feel sad that he is quitting it now
