Incredibly disappointed about this "game", graphics are ok, gameplay is awful and quite frankly it doesn't immerse you into what Jurassic Park is...they should've just made it as a short movie instead. 4/10
Great game with intense story, well made SFX and music, also the dubs, and good directing!! This is not 1st person or 3rd person game, more like on the eye of director game, maybe they want us to feel like we're really focus on the character and the story, and it did it actually!! If they made it 1st person or 3rd person for this one, maybe we barely feel the story,, overall, great game, especially if you love jurassic park :)

Yes, it's just an interactive movie. When I say "moving", I clearly meant using an analog stick to move the character around. I'll try to speak a little more simple for you to reduce such confusion. The puzzle solving, art style, dialouge options, and story were cool, I dont understand why they couldn't let me control my character. They should have made it an RPG. I had been waiting my entire life for a JP game and I was disapointed by this one, I have had so many good ideas for one but I'm too young too make a proffesional game and I only barely know how to make 2d games. Im only saying that I have some good ideas. I want to be a film director though so I wont be able to make a game -_-
Jurassic park trespasser was released in 1998. Thats the kind of Game that gaming/jurassic park fans really want. If they got it right then why cant they get it right now. I recall a sega game and ps1 game that were also good. Is it just me or does storyline seem to get in the way of gameplay these days. It's hard to find a game you can just sit down and play that isnt online or a sports game.
This game's Heavy Rain-esque presentation looks cool and works great, but I'm also curious if this game could be presented in a sort of third-person game, a la Assassin's Creed or Uncharted, maybe giving it more of an exploration/involving feel.
my 30 inch 3.4 ghz quad core imac with windows 7 64 bit + 16 gigs of ram, amd radeon 6970 gpu with 2 gigs of ram that can usually run ALL of the latest games at the best ultra settings,still has stuttering + fps issues with this game. i absolutely hate the quicktime events and how inaccurate the commands are represented on the screen. for instance when it tells you to hit down left,i hit down left,yet the game registers it as inaccurate.
For a point a click adventure, this game is pretty badly optimized. I managed to get into the Jeep at the start but don't feel like continuing because of all the hiccups and stutters. Shame, cause im enjoying it. I lowered my screen res to 1024, turned off AA and set everything down a notch and it still runs like a dog. Yet i can play Crysis 2 max everything and get better performance. Anyone else have performance issues?
lot of people dont like this game, but its great game. i like it. Its like interactive interesting movie (with good story), for me its better as for ex. skyrim. I know its different kind of pc game, but its better for me anyway
the only bit that annoys me about this game is i cant get it :( i dont have a fast enough pc i cant download to my ps3 because i only have company web and they dont allow game downloads and its not available on ps3 disc. i wish they would put it to disc so i can play it it looks so kool

People are kinda harsh on this; yes it's not a game but an interactive film and it's grafics are from 2003, but it's smartly written and actually a better story then JP2 and 3.
I didn't mind the interactive movie experience, although I admit... it would have been nice to have more interaction than just scroll and press random buttons - but what really spoiled this for me on the PS3 was the technical problems; (1: Sound kept clicking and changing volume during dialogue, 2: Game kept freezing whilst it loaded animations (this destroyed the flow during action sequences & 3: I think this should have been 1 single game and not 4 separate episodes) - it had so much potential
The problem isn't that it's an adventure game, alot of old adventure games are very good but this is just too simple, the interactivity isn't much higher than those old FMV games
It's a great experience. I wouldn't call it exactly a game, but it's so well directed that it doesn't matter. Apart from som technical mishaps (animation in QTEs is stiff), it looks pretty good. I don't give a shit that the graphics aren't technically amazing and you can't see every speck of dust - it fits the game. I'd rather have this over amazing graphics with a bland (ie: brown/gray) colour palette.
The sound design and music are great too.
However, if you're not a fan, you may feel cheated.
i watched a walktrough of this game and i say the story is just as good as the first jurassic park movie, i don't think this game is a screw up. and there are puzzles in this game so the top comment is wrong.

annoying "Heavy-Rain-ripoff'ness" aside, I actually liked the story and characters, and how they even got to make fun of the stupid things from the movies and came up with excuses for some the plotholes (or at least lampshaded them)
But really, I would like it more if it was a four episode series or something like that, instead of a lame interactive movie.
personally i don't mind the gameplay im just happy to get another side of the story and i get to be in control of how they live, and or die would be a good flick kind of one of thoes choose your adventure books lol
@technoboy141 Steam but i don't recommend you do it. There is a 50% chance that you won't be able to play the game at all. Either the game starts just fine and every thing works or its pitch dark and the only thing you can do is click Start and push WASD like crazy every time a Black Box show up in a corner.
The black box is a censored wasd key, bug?Glitch?to make it harder? Who knows....
This game was truly great. It was just so awesome at times. Who cares if its an interactive movie? Heavy rain is played the same exact way. Just because the graphics aren't completely up to date doesn't mean its unplayable. Death scenes were great similar to Dead Space. This games story wouldn't be nearly as good if you could just shoot the dinos...

Shooting games are too popular these days. Every year, a new M-rated shooter (battlefield, call of duty, halo) gets released to pander to swearing, shouting teenage boys, and ultimately the casual demographic is lessening because of it. I'm glad that games like these are being released, because we need to keep casual gaming alive. There needs to be something for everyone.

@bravotwoniner The game still succeeds in capturing your attention by building up emotional tension through the cutscenes. I noticed this most at the climax of Episode 1. Telltale Games is all about storytelling and they do that very well. The game is SUPPOSED to have the feel of a movie. Only the most brain-dead teenage boy could possibly find any appeal in a shoot-em-up that's all action, no story. I'd rather play a game with a compelling story than fry my brain with mindless button-mashing.

Personally, I enjoyed this game very much. It continued the story and wrapped up the fate of Isla Nublar quite well. It tied into the movie very well, the characters were very likeable and hateable at times. Like real people are. I loved how they incorporated bits from the novel into the game as well as made InGen's history darker. The new dinosaurs are very interesting, and it's cool to see more of the interworkings of the park. Forget the haters. This is a real treat right here.
Honestly I'm not impressed with the game. The only reason why I continue to play it is just because of the fact that it's Jurassic Park. It seems like Universal just wanted two games made for the Anniversary of two of it's franchises. The character models are downright awful in the game and I can't tell if a character is tired, high, or retarded. This game is a pure rent.
I've seen a bunch of walkthroughs for this and it actually looks pretty fun! Wot buy it though since so many other good games are coming out! hopefully it comes out on Demand or PSN for a cheaper price, then i'd probably get it :)
If you guys want to reach the dumb audience that bad, then why not make 2 different gameplay modes: dumb and traditional.
In the first one you would have this new-gen dumb-it-down approach and in the other one you would have the old-school puzzle solving goodness like MI2 and IJatFoA.

This game had the potential to be a great game. Everything was there! The setting, the wonderful voice acting and great graphics, the cinematic experience.
But they completely screwed it up by removing the gameplay that makes up adventure games!

Ok this game sucks. But not to worry because Jurassic park 4 has been confirmed for 2013. So video game companies will obviously make a more kickass Jurassic park game. Don't get your hopes down.

Great game with intense story, well made SFX and music, also the dubs, and good directing!! This is not 1st person or 3rd person game, more like on the eye of director game, maybe they want us to feel like we're really focus on the character and the story, and it did it actually!! If they made it 1st person or 3rd person for this one, maybe we barely feel the story,, overall, great game, especially if you love jurassic park :)

The puzzle solving, art style, dialouge options, and story were cool, I dont understand why they couldn't let me control my character. They should have made it an RPG. I had been waiting my entire life for a JP game and I was disapointed by this one, I have had so many good ideas for one but I'm too young too make a proffesional game and I only barely know how to make 2d games. Jurassic park trespasser was released in 1998. Thats the kind of Game that gaming/jurassic park fans really want. If they got it right then why cant they get it right now. I recall a sega game and ps1 game that were also good. Is it just me or does storyline seem to get in the way of gameplay these days. my 30 inch 3.4 ghz quad core imac with windows 7 64 bit + 16 gigs of ram, amd radeon 6970 gpu with 2 gigs of ram that can usually run ALL of the latest games at the best ultra settings,still has stuttering + fps issues with this game. i absolutely hate the quicktime events and how inaccurate the commands are represented on the screen. for instance when it tells you to hit down left,i hit down left,yet the game registers it as inaccurate.

For a point a click adventure, this game is pretty badly optimized. I managed to get into the Jeep at the start but don't feel like continuing because of all the hiccups and stutters. Shame, cause im enjoying it. I lowered my screen res to 1024, turned off AA and set everything down a notch and it still runs like a dog. Yet i can play Crysis 2 max everything and get better performance. Anyone else have performance issues?

I didn't mind the interactive movie experience, although I admit... it would have been nice to have more interaction than just scroll and press random buttons - but what really spoiled this for me on the PS3 was the technical problems; (1: Sound kept clicking and changing volume during dialogue, 2: Game kept freezing whilst it loaded animations (this destroyed the flow during action sequences & 3: I think this should have been 1 single game and not 4 separate episodes) - it had so much potential

It's a great experience. I wouldn't call it exactly a game, but it's so well directed that it doesn't matter. Apart from som technical mishaps (animation in QTEs is stiff), it looks pretty good. I don't give a shit that the graphics aren't technically amazing and you can't see every speck of dust - it fits the game. I'd rather have this over amazing graphics with a bland (ie: brown/gray) colour palette.
The sound design and music are great too.
However, if you're not a fan, you may feel cheated.

Either the game starts just fine and every thing works or its pitch dark and the only thing you can do is click Start and push WASD like crazy every time a Black Box show up in a corner.
The black box is a censored wasd key, bug?Glitch?to make it harder? Who knows....

This game was truly great. It was just so awesome at times. Who cares if its an interactive movie? Heavy rain is played the same exact way. Just because the graphics aren't completely up to date doesn't mean its unplayable. Death scenes were great similar to Dead Space. This games story wouldn't be nearly as good if you could just shoot the dinos...

Every year, a new M-rated shooter (battlefield, call of duty, halo) gets released to pander to swearing, shouting teenage boys, and ultimately the casual demographic is lessening because of it. I'm glad that games like these are being released, because we need to keep casual gaming alive. There needs to be something for everyone.

Get this! MAYBE, some people may not like FPSes as much as you do! MAYBE, some people may happen to prefer story over gameplay! MAYBE, people may have different TASTES when it comes to video games! I SAY GIVE THE NEXT JURASSIC PARK GAME TO CAPCOM OR ACTIVISION, AND THEY WILL COME THROUGH FOR THE FANS. INSTEAD OF THESE WANNABE GAME STUDIOS. @bravotwoniner And video games are NOT just about "survival". What about Pokemon? The Sims? Roller Coaster Tycoon? There are different genres of video games. Not every game has to be a testosterone-pumped shoot-everything-that-moves 12-year-old-boy's-wet-dream. At least this game does something different by popularizing the new unique style of gameplay that Heavy Rain introduced.

@bravotwoniner The game still succeeds in capturing your attention by building up emotional tension through the cutscenes. I noticed this most at the climax of Episode 1. Telltale Games is all about storytelling and they do that very well. The game is SUPPOSED to have the feel of a movie. Only the most brain-dead teenage boy could possibly find any appeal in a shoot-em-up that's all action, no story. I'd rather play a game with a compelling story than fry my brain with mindless button-mashing.

Personally, I enjoyed this game very much. It continued the story and wrapped up the fate of Isla Nublar quite well. It tied into the movie very well, the characters were very likeable and hateable at times. Like real people are. I loved how they incorporated bits from the novel into the game as well as made InGen's history darker. The new dinosaurs are very interesting, and it's cool to see more of the interworkings of the park. Forget the haters. This is a real treat right here.

Honestly I'm not impressed with the game. The only reason why I continue to play it is just because of the fact that it's Jurassic Park. It seems like Universal just wanted two games made for the Anniversary of two of it's franchises. The character models are downright awful in the game and I can't tell if a character is tired, high, or retarded. This game is a pure rent.

If you guys want to reach the dumb audience that bad, then why not make 2 different gameplay modes: dumb and traditional.
In the first one you would have this new-gen dumb-it-down approach and in the other one you would have the old-school puzzle solving goodness like MI2 and IJatFoA.

This game had the potential to be a great game. Everything was there! The setting, the wonderful voice acting and great graphics, the cinematic experience.
But they completely screwed it up by removing the gameplay that makes up adventure games!
There is zero puzzle solving in this game, or should I say interactive movie.
What happened to you TellTale... you guys used to be cool? :(

@Darkspysrival Nice one, Telltale. I also heard the Spanish equivalent of "bitch" used at one point. I'm guessing that in Spanish versions of the game, Nima will be a native English speaker and we'd hear her saying "fuck" and "bitch" without the game having an M rating.

I hate all the people who whine that there isn't any shooting in it! Think about it. This game is supposed to have the feel of the movies...did the Jurassic Park MOVIES involve blowing up dinosaurs with shotguns and rocket launchers? It's totally against the theme of the movies, about respecting the dinosaurs and letting them live in peace...you know, "life will find a way"...
