Thank you for posting a video showing correct Flash developing practices. I went to a work shop on Flash and AS3 a few months ago and was trying to get back into it, but all I could find was information on timeline coding which I was taught was incorrect.
@CillersFan I'm glad this has been helpful for you. It's worth keeping going - once you've got the fundamentals down pat, they should help you with whatever programming language you end up using for future projects. Try to tackle a small project so that you stay in practice. Timeline coding has its uses for quick test, very simple projects or visualisations but you'll need a better grounding once projects get more complex. Keep at it!
not too useful for those who are not familiar with OOP, but for those who know some programming languages this tutorial is very useful and informative. thank you. by the way, i love'd your accent, are you British? thank you, again :)
@nikkkaforum Thanks for the feedback and glad you enjoyed it. The tutorial is aimed primarily at Flash designers trying to make the jump but I agree it is also really useful for users of other languages. About the accent - there's a bit of a comment thread developing on one of the other videos, so I'm going to keep that a secret for now, don't want to spoil the fun :) Happy coding!

THANK YOU!!! This is very clear and doesn't skip important concepts like the file structure, which I've been struggling with. On to tut 2.
