I can't believe nobody is calling out this idiot for naming his video "PB reverse hyper" when he doesn't even fucking do a reverse hyper on a physioball.
I love how many comments are short name followed by numbers (dve8692, aks 73, clr18287) and they all say how they wish their gym had one, and two have some thumbs up.
Viking man is totally correct! I had a mis-diagnosed fused vertabae (L-4 & L-5) Turned out they were jammed and only looked that way on film. Anyway the reverse hyper not only pulled them back into correct alignment but made my back, glutes and hammies strong as hell! Thank You Louie Simmons you're da man!
You're actually SUPPOSED to let the weight swing forward. It's one of the most beneficial aspects of a reverse hyper. It creates a pumping action in the vertebrea, propoting blood flow and nutrient delivery to the disks.
you can do it both ways. i own the reverse hyper pro and i use the swinging motion with heavy weight (4 plates) for rehab / prehab / recovery, and then i use pretty light weight (2x25 or 2x35) on each side and do slow and controlled reps with less ROM. its the only machine I use.
do they actually work? i only have a hamstring curl machine at my gym and its not very adequate for results. iwa going to build a reverse hyper and glute ham raise to use for extra workouts in my basement. will it actually help? since i know its those areas that are weakest. you say its all you use i just want to know if its worth building.
Never see this machine in Hong Kong

what does this workout?

@clat1 you dynamically contract your hip extensors and lumbar back extensors and statically contact your hamstrings.

I've never, ever seen one of these, either. I've been a member of two huge university gyms, even, and none had this. Looks pretty cool.

You dont have to do that, I tried it and it doesnt feel right to me, so when I do it now I dont let it swing
huskerpower51 3 years ago
No, you don't have to let it swing, but then like Louie says...you aren't doin it properly and you're losing out terrible.
