Man, this guy deserves this for sheer stupidity. The Joker accidentally gave him SEVERAL ways to fight back and escape. The gun, first of all, which would have been tricky and maybe even impossible to turn on the Joker, but still somewhat of a chance, and then there was the pencil, which he could have used perfectly as a stabbing implement. I mean, yeah, it'd had probably just gotten him shot, but at least he'd go out with a "Screw you!"
