Love it! We got our Corgi Arby at 13 mos (he is almost 4), and he still has the energy of a pup, but never attempted the flying jumps Buster did. Great video.
that is hilarious! i always worry about my corgi jumping onto and off beds, so i know what you mean. the music with it and slow motion was great! by the way buster is an excellent name.we had a rott/mix buster for 14 years!
I'm sure you've heard it before, but it bears repeating... Corgis LOVE to jump from tall steps in a single bound, but their bodies aren't built for it. Our corgi would fly off the deck to chase squirrels -- it was only a 2-3 step drop, but she managed to sprain her ankle... again and again (they don't learn). So we had to lead her down the steps before she bounded after her prey. Good luck!
YT removed it to avoid copyright infringement. We liked the other music better also, but we had to choose one of their "royalty free" tracks. So the Nutcracker Suite by Tchiakovsky seemed a suitable replacement. Seems to work, doesn't it? :)
Our two corgies do the 'zoomies'/ running from one end to the other in one area. Maddie's still a pup at one yr & did it the other day about 25 X's. I'm sure Buster's leaping is like the 'zoomies.' People worry too much! It's hard to stop what comes natural to dogs, when we can't predict when the urge is going to strike them. Great video (choice of music...perfect!). Buster had a unique & hilarious stunt as a pup! Thanks for the belly laugh!
I loe the way the hop off stairs. WIth their little tiny legs! We call ours "Stubby". Actually, her name is Guinevere. A true "Welsh" name. hee hee hee
Love the video, but would probably try to keep Buster from doing that. Corgi's supposably are prone to back problems and broken legs, etc.. that's a pretty rough impact if you think about how short their legs are and how long their back is. But... love the video still!
He doesn't do it anymore. It's not anything we trained him to do, he just started doing it one day running around the house. He only did this for about year when he was a puppy. He's retired from dog stuntwork now.
Loved your video! Your corgis seem so happy. Try to be a bit cautious, tho -- our corgi loved to jump on and off beds, couches, stairs -- you name it, she jumped. Unfortunately, this didn't help the arthritis, hip dysplasia and disk problems she developed at age 6. Thought you might want to be forewarned...
10 10 10 for extension! Super cute!

Well this is a bit of a step up from the "corgi flop" video, lol. Amazing to see those little legs stick that landing!

haha my mom had to move the picnic table out of the backyard so my corgis would stop trying to dislocate their shoulders leaping off of it XD

My dad's corgi would do this. He would only skip 1 or 2 steps though. It's so cute when they do that.
And yes, corgis need to be watched for back problems, with them being so long.

Yeah, I read the disclaimer. I'm glad he doesn't do that anymore, watching the landing in slow motion made it even worse.
But he's still Super!
