No, not really. I can't speak French, and it's not the first language I want to learn, because France isn't one of the main places I want to visit or live. (nothing bad about France, I just would rather see Germany, Italy, Rome, Japan, ect.)

It's not about learning to speak French so you can visit France..That's not why we're interested in preserving the language. It's a part of our culture, our heritage..It's a very unique dialect, and we wanna keep that part of our history alive.

But I totally understand ya now...It's pretty rare to actually find someone in Baton Rouge who speaks fluent French..You hafta go further south into like Lafourche Parish to experience that. My grandparents actually had to learn English.
