For the price of Win 7 you could get a top of the line quad core CPU or a mid-high GPU.

Over 90% of super computers use Linux. Check out "Linux" at wikipedia.

I know that real comp proffetional users would prefer old but hardcore comps. and I'm sure they wouldnt have trouble with the UI since preformance is more important then windows. besides windows is always coming out with new versions and linux is old but well known.

@jcudal32 I should hope it's known that all android phones run linux... ;) Also, just about all routers I've encountered have some variant.

BTW, Linux isn't any more antiquated than Windows (or especially Mac OS, which is based off Unix also!)... the kernel and all the stuff that goes with it gets improved and parts are rewritten entirely.

Actually most development cycles for Linux produce a new distro every 6 months!! Much "newer" than Windows or Mac OSs.

dolphin works perfect for me in debian squeeze (svn dolphin) and arch linux (stable version of dolphin). and yep, better than windows. just keep on triying bro.

uncheck dual core, try unsetting any antialiasing of high quality option from nvidia-settings.

im assuming you use nvidia without any shame.

just wanted to let any one know you do not have to compile it. you could download the compiled version.

i also did a video with my linux computer. dolphin worked a lot better on windows :( . has any one had the same expirence. if i could have dolphin to run as it runs in windows i would completely use linux.
