  • Holy S**T that last note (if you can even call it that it's so high)

  • lol I can't even reach high F over the staff the highest I can reach is high E :P Every nice:)

  • keep on pressing 3, sounds lik dubstep

  • press 3, 5 ,7 8 :D and create your own song ^^

  • I'm glad I can do that! Having such range like that helps... A LOT!!!

  • 6 Octaves Attempt !!!!! not 7 !!!!

  • @ndongousman 7*

  • How do you go that low at at the first note?

  • bdzbdfbdbodjxfnosoucfoubsuocbfou I wish I was you!

  • This young man is well on his way, on the road to rack and ruin! Maestro Eugene Brusiloff used to whistle the last octave (or two!), but Mama used to say, (about Maynard Ferguson), "if he wanted to play the piccolo, he should have taken up the piccolo."

  • A lot of people are saying the bottom one doesn't sound quite right, that's because that horn isn't long enough to support that note. Most trombonists, however, can fake it just by buzzing what would be the double pedal Bb. If you're playing a bass trombone with both valves, you can actually play it with both triggers down in flat seventh position.

  • @MastodonRockss

And by flat seventh, I mean hang your slide on the end of the stockings and lip it down and it will almost be in tune.

  • @MastodonRockss

only thing is if you were attempting to play that high on a bass bone you would be out of your mind for sure :D

  • nice dude

  • pretty good! well done....can you do a scale all the way up? :) i know i cant

  • HOW DO YOU DO THAT?!

  • Great! teach me trombone sometime~

  • Any tips on how you expanded your range?

  • not bad, but the tone is not strong on the double or triple. Keep practicing, and it will get stronger and wider.

  • very good job, the last note is a bitch on trumpet. props for getting it on a trombone.

  • Just to let u know, the first note is naturally out of tune when u do it in 1st position. Do trigger 7+ and it will sound more in-tune.

  • bravo.

  • my face hurts...

  • first two notes arent quite an octave apart still good thou

  • @Charliearo1196 yes they are the first one's pitch is just a little off

  • first two notes arent quite an octave apart

  • i can only got from 00:06 to 00:10

  • Oh my god, I laughed so hard at the last one! Good job, I can only do up to 4.

  • i can only get 4 :3

  • 1st two notes sounded exactly the same

  • @shrillz They were actually an octabve apart.

  • @TimGBone I believe you. I wish wood winds could have this range!

  • @TimGBone that first note wasn't quite a Bb it sounded more of a D or C nice try though i give you 5 stars for being able to do 6! lol

  • @TimGBone actually a major 7th, you gotta push your double pedal out farther.

  • @shrillz I can actually hear a distinct difference between the first 2 notes. Great job TimGBone!

  • @shrillz are you stupid?

  • @shrillz you are wrong

  • The fuck. How on earth did you get to a B5 on a trombone. If this is legit, then someone has skills.

  • Before you hit your pedal tone B flat go to low f from regular Bfalt

B falt to low F to Pedal Tone B flat

  • I like how ur last B flat sounded better than the 6 octave one....

  • Lol i can keep playing @ 0:14 over an over again

  • algarete brega a loco 7 octavas esta mjmmm... yo apenas llego mas que a cuatro

  • what was the last note?

  • that was only 6 not 7

  • @Guitarhreomaster16 learn to count buddy, that was 7

  • sucks wasnt even a scale

  • @gamerboy6297Does the title say it would be a scale? If he was going to play a scale, the title would have said B flat scale 7 octaves.

  • 6 1/2 is actually kind of small (it's what i use)

  • a ultima nota ele gritou...

  • nice :D

  • nice trombone. i really need to upgrade from my standard king trombone.

  • u suck

  • I hope you don't still think that a 6 1/2 A is kinda big! ;)

  • This kid right here is my new hero :D

  • bad tone my friend.. u need to have a SOLID airstream. none of this i can hit a 7 octave note bs. u take that wusy conversational breath. inhale from ur diaphram and fill up ur tank and then support the high notes

  • @trobonewiz i appreciate it. check the date of the vid though. i've improved.

  • lies

  • LMAO that definitely sounded like a scream at the end

  • @nigsjigs yeah lol. Thats the trombone screaming " Hey, WTF?!?!?! Don't play that high, Mutha F*ckA!!!!!!!!!" HAHAHAHA

  • This is Stagg 77 TD-HG?

  • On a bass trombone... wow.

  • your tone is horrible

  • @hitlerthegod thanks

  • @TimGBone hes right dude it is i bet i have better tone than u and i dont even play a brass instrument i play a sax which is woodwind

  • @MrLexington45 He doesn't look like hes a professional. and playing a brass instrument is completly different from a sax. espesially a trombone. try picking one up and playing all of those notes

  • @aidankrbe lol thanks, aidankrbe

  • @MrLexington45 Sure you do. Let's believe everything you say because you say it over the internet.

    @TimGBone

This is awesome! I started bass a year ago, still working on my range.

  • @TheSoulification Thanks! and Nice!! Good luck working on your range! I've never played bass to be honest, I don't have the most powerful lower register. I really wanna pick up and try bass though haha. Best of luck to you.

  • @TimGBone

My lower register is pretty good, it helps that I play it in Jazz Band, lots of lower notes to practice.

  • @TheSoulification Nice! That may be my problem. I don't play in my lower register as much as I would like, because I play lead in jazz and 1st in symphonic band. Lots of high notes.

  • the face at the end is priceless, man =D

  • Is that a Bass? If it is, can you post a tutorial on the bass, (I.e. how to use it correctly, etc.)?

  • Your expression in the highest note is hilarious. XD

  • You screamed out the final B flats!

  • этот чел играть не хера не умеет, а ноты берёт

  • lol can you tell me how to play the last note/screaming thing XD, the other notes can I play for al long time :P

  • @MisterFaab If you want to play it like he did, just sing the last note through the horn. That's how he did it.

  • @hansbari i didn't sing the last note

  • damn

  • Nice double pedal B natural at the beginning. To play the double pedal B flat, it is to be played in 2nd position.

  • i can get a the second low note he did,but i can do like two note higher than he did........nice horn btw

  • you totally sang that last one through your horn cheater

  • @crunchberryz nope lol

  • haha the last note looked like he was taking a really tight fart

  • lol

  • last note was nice. it was a note. screaming on a t bone

  • @agbulmer yes...very bill watros

  • O_O Insane. I play trumpet and the highest I can hit is a double concert F above the staff ...Its my G

  • I can hit high high G

  • i can barely hit high b flat...

  • hahaha that was great xD

  • wow that was epic

    i subbed!

  • Whaha, i lold. xD

Keep up the vids man ;)

  • ffs i cant even play a high f... help me please ffs i need it. idk what to do i go for the high f but it doesnt work :S. the highest note i can play is the d thats under a high f :/

  • Usually what dictates your range is your need to play that high. For example, I remember during my 2nd year of playing Trombone I couldn't even hit that D you're talking about. This is, until I had a piece of music that called for not a D, but an F as well. I built up my range in about 2 months to where I could hit it everytime. The next year I had to hit a high A. Same deal, took me a month or two to get to where I could hit it everytime. Probably the highest note I've ever played is a high Bb.

  • Very Rarely do i get a piece that goes higher then a High Bb but the one that comes to mind is the solo from Duke ellington's Ko-Ko where they call for an Extremely High D while you plunger. That took me about a month to get and at the time, I'd been playing for around 5 years.

  • Wait, which D and F are you talking about? The ones above middle Bb, or the ones about high Bb (Bb 3)? Because I can hardly imagine a call for a D or F above Bb 3 in music during your second year of playing...

  • It's the ones above a middle Bb. I wasn't that good. I just used that as an example to show the guy that needed help hitting higher notes that there's not really any way to hit it except for building up to it. IE, it takes practice.

  • Just keep working at it. I know you've probably been told it several times, but that's really all you can do. Undoubtedly someone somewhere will scold me for telling you this, because it's a habit of mine, but it helps whenever I pull my bottom lip back some when I play the upper G-Bb

  • 6 1/2 AL to me I feel is pretty small. Wow the pinched tones. Stop working on the range, work on the tone and techniques =D But with that range basis you can do alot of good stuff.

  • haha sweet. i just bought a trombone like yours i think. is it the 42BO model? mines the LT42BOG model because i got a lightweight slide and i got gold brass

  • Sounds like Jesus shat himself.

  • Chaval eso no son 7 octavas, tu has hecho 6 octavas!!

  • read description

  • Sorry, I´m not read the description. Is very well and it is very difficult playing high notes. Congratulations from Spain!

  • Were you cleaning the spit valve in the beginning? gross.. My band director sometimes makes me do that IN the band room! And those high notes would KILL me

  • Are you ugly? We empty our spit valves all the time in the band room. What would be gross is if you never emptied the spit valve. Freak.

  • damn pulling some bill chase at the end

  • hmm... so i got this cheap 400$ trombone off of ebay right? now basically, they said it was a tenor trombone with a thicker mouthpeice (bore?) and it had a larger bell and bigger tubes. So Did i buy a Base trombone without a trigger (what kinds of triggers are there?)? Way to go me. Thanks for any answers. =)

  • No you bought a large bore Tenor trombone that can probably be used as a Bass trombone with correct application

The Trigger if there is one will be an F trigger lowering the note played by 5 positions (i.e. Standard second line Bb becomes a bottom stave F (Bass Clef))

the other is a D trigger which if combined with F Creates a G trigger The Two triggers usually signal a Bass Trombone But you can get a Bass trombone with just one trigger

No Trigger means definitely not a bass

  • tHANK YOU SO MUCH FOR RESPONDING! i wondered what i had bought since it was a while ago. So it isn't a bass trombone. got it. w wonder if u can just buy a bell w/ trigger somewhere because i'd like to have a trigger...

  • @justsoicanwatchacert Acually some trombones can have no open wrap trigger attachment near the tuning slide and still be a bas trombone. The only difference is they have double slides that can be used via button\trigger near the mouthpiece reciever. But they are ver very extremely rare

  • 5 stars for emptying your spit valve at the start

  • um i think its crazy u count the lowest b flat a note..

  • the lowest one you PLAYED that is.

  • Awesome you can get up there. Does it take practice or something or you keep playing till you blow your CHOPS off. lmao

  • Is the double pedal B flat for trombone the same as the pedal B flat for tuba?

  • Correct

  • Lol, he singed the last note:D

  • I'd be more impressed if he could sing that high.

  • Double pedal Bb is in second position. That should help put it in tune. Nice triple Bb, the only thing is that when people make these videos they never hold the notes long enough for them to count in my opinion...

  • Oh my geez, that made me laugh my ass off! (lmao) hahahaha

  • the thing is your double pedal is really out of tune so it doesnt sound like a Bb at all

  • lol, the lowest Bb is actually pretty easy for me, cuz i play tuba and im learning trombone. lol if i put my tuba mouthpiece in my tenor trombone (with "f" attachment XD) it gets amazingly low. hehe

  • lold at last note

  • I'd say the bottom note is more a B natural, but hey that takes a fuckload of effort, nice work

  • Lovely! Impressive high register

  • lol I love to blast my pedal Bb in marching band, even when I'm not supposed to :P

  • Dude, so the lowest Bb wasn't even a note, that was like a fart or something. When you got up to the two highest Bb's, you tensed up and just barely pinched them out. Those are NOT notes when you pinch them out! Do the Breathing Gym, it will help you and others a lot. Keep working hard.

  • hmmm...sounds like someone cant play very many ranges...

  • They had an identifiable frequency close to the prescribed note series. They were real notes.

He may not want to try to perform with them, but they are real. Give him a few years, he might end up being Maynard on trombone.

  • Allmost 6 octaves, the lowest is a clear BBB natural. Great chops. Play some music?

  • Comment removed

  • you spelled "octaves" incorrectly...you really started with me, man..

  • heya, i like this^^ especially the deepest bflat ;-)

    do you study trombone?

  • Yes! :)

  • Holy crap the last now was insane! That was GREAT!!!!

  • LMAO

    Gooodjob!!!!!!!!

  • Poop on the pedal trombones!!! It's like. . . an insult to the one thing that makes this instrument unique!!!!

  • @pbandjboy Well hey now, you are right on that a little. But the ones we should poop on are the vavle trombones, they are cheaters

  • HOW DO YOU PLAY THAT LAST NOTE THAT'S INSANE

I can only get to triple high f lol =(

  • hey thats really good. i play euph and am learning trombone, and i just can't play the double pedal Bb. if anyone has some tips they would be greatly appreciated. =)

  • Put your lower lip over the edge of the mouthpiece and simply blow a raspberry, don't try to buzz. It's rather weak and floppy at first, but as you practice you can get it really strong.

  • thanks a lot! i finally can amaze all my band friends by playing all the double pedal notes lol! thanks you so much!

  • no problem =D

  • ummmmmmmmm

  • the 3rd note was an f not a Bb

  • wtf ever thats impossible i can only play a double Bb

  • damn thats so bullshit

  • damnit, I hate you. Just kidding. I only have 5 octave though so I hate you.

  • lol i can do everything except for the triple high b-flat--can only do like triple f#--but i can play the double pedal b-flat louder than he can

    You're around the same right?

  • ya, I can play the pedal like a regular note. And the high f. not triple high f. but not the one 3 lines above. Higher thatn that.

  • love it :D

trombones rule! wish i could play properly though.... :(

    I'll practice :)

  • XDXDXDXD That's cute...

  • nice

  • this is great!!! i'm can barly get a double F (high one) lol i was selected for the southern alberta hounor band a couple months back that was awsome enough about me though.... i really think this is great!!

  • so what are u trying to prove by doing this? boosting your ego or something?

  • Dude, this is AWESOME! I am trying to teach myself to play trombone, and you've given me someone to look up to.

  • crazy freaking bastard! LOL. I think I have a new ringtone...

  • kool

  • hahahaha hilarious!

  • lol that was good

  • omg that was amazing your range still blows my mind although i already knew you were amazing

  • do u play i do

  • i play the bass clarinet ... and have the pleasure of hearing him all the time

  • Pleasure? LOL

  • yes he's amazing

  • lmao,

    hes gotta be pretty good...

i cant even go that low on my trombone...even without trying to plkay a specific note <:D

    haha, ownage.

P.S. i loooooove that last note!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD

  • really good

  • Holy cow! You got chops! Did your dog jump when you played that last note?? (just kidding!)

  • LoL

  • perhaps you should try a 5 1/2 B, helps to hit the high register mainly super duper B flats

  • another good mouthpiece would be a Bach 5g...great for playing the low registers amd the high ones...also go for gold plating much better for the chops

  • Thanks!!!
