  • I love how it bounces between the Sierra Railway and the Denver and Rio Grande Western San Juan Extension.

  • Allan Hale Jr!? WOW! "Gilligan Little Buddy!"

  • some of it looks like it was shot on the derango and silvertion.

  • @skybluedragonator there both the same engine. they did a few cosmetic changes to make it look different but they are both infact the same engine. If you have further doughts about that then please contact the Hawaiian railway society.

  • Chop it up and put in the boiler - I'll have to tell that this weekend to the #3 crew at Sumpter.

  • Building extra track in the middle of a train race in order to save time has got to be the most hysterically absurd plot twist in a non-comedy in the entire history of television.

  • "Said a msg to the boys at the gorge" BOYS AT THE GORGE get the msg and one of them asks, "What does it say?" The other says; "DIT DIT DASH DASH DIT DIT DIT DIT DASH DASH..." Casey "RAMMING SPEED, Warp 7!"

  • I loved this show as a little kid. Didn't have a thing to do with the real John Luther Jones and his career on the Illinois Central that ended on April 30, 1900-- but it was a lot of fun. I was heart broken when it was cancelled, but we got to see that Sierra RR Ten Wheeler later in "Petticoat Junction" and "Wild, Wild West".
