@dasspr I own a C5Z and thats NOT a C5. FIRST look at the reflection in the paint on the GTR do you see pop up headlights because i dont. Second look in the mirror of the vette you can see the C6 Door handle. Pause at 0:37 you can clearly see buttons on the steering wheel which the C5 does not have. Also the center dash is also not C5 by way of Radio, hazard button, and two a/c vents vice one on a c5. Anyone saying this is a c5 is an idiot and has never sat in one much less owned one.

Neither one of these cars are built for straight-line speed. Both are built for the track. The real track, with corners, (left AND right). I am a GTR fan, but don't automatically say Z06's suck. All these "rolling race" videos on YouTube paint a pretty sad picture of automotive enthusiasm if this is how cars are compared.

@dasspr I own a C5Z and thats NOT a C5. FIRST look at the reflection in the paint on the GTR do you see pop up headlights because i dont. Second look in the mirror of the vette you can see the C6 Door handle. Pause at 0:37 you can clearly see buttons on the steering wheel which the C5 does not have. Also the center dash is also not C5 by way of Radio, hazard button, and two a/c vents vice one on a c5. Anyone saying this is a c5 is an idiot and has never sat in one much less owned one.

Comparing a RWD car to an AWD car is not valid regardless of tires.
A DCT or PDK transmission will always be faster than a stick shift.
NA motors regardless of displacement cannot compete with modern forced induction motors.
The price argument is not valid.
All of these cars are wonderful and people have their own distinct tastes.

Neither one of these cars are built for straight-line speed. Both are built for the track. The real track, with corners, (left AND right). I am a GTR fan, but don't automatically say Z06's suck. All these "rolling race" videos on YouTube paint a pretty sad picture of automotive enthusiasm if this is how cars are compared.

Neither car is a laughing matter but the ZR1 by LMR(Late Model Racecraft)is one hell of a car. 9.8's in the 1/4 is pretty good for a street car and yes it is faster than an Alpha BUT all changes if it has a bad driver.

But makes the car not as fun to drive because the computers do all the work. The engine is very well made and powerfull and it also has a flappy paddle gear box which makes all the shifts fast and smooth

@FordGTmustang2000 you dont know anything... from a roll like this the AWD of the GTR actually is a disadvantage. from a launch is where the AWD helps. just doing pulls the corvette has the advantage but still looses. You cant even say the GTR is not great it KILLS almost everything around the ring and is pretty much a supercar for under 100k idk what more you could want in a car.

The gtr is a forced induction car, making it a platform that can be pushed very far. Christ look at AMS's alpha packages. They call the GTR godzilla for a reason.
