  • god i did this workout last night, i feel as if ive been beaten up! Great video, most of all great trainer!

  • did the blood and guts workout, i lost strength b/c this is for those who either overwork or have reached their natural plateau.

  • @mikey53641 maybe it's because you didn't go to total failure and didn't do it slow enough on the negative

  • No kickbacks ?

  • Dorian Yates and Kai Greene are the best trainers everrrrrrrr.

  • Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze

  • I would be fucking blushing is DY calls me a strong man, ever

  • Where are they training in this video?

  • alright try and stop it. okay maybe not

  • He's at the bodypower expo this year can't wait to meet him.kai greenerr is going as well :-D

  • Jealous... I would love to train with him... I guess he would laugh about my weak physic :D

  • I didn't know Danny Heffernan was into lifting weights.

  • That face at 3:50 is amazing!

  • Anyone know the name of the song on the intro please?

  • does anyone know the name fo the song that plays in the intro?

  • HAHAHAHA 12:00

"Don't worry about the burn mate, you can do Jane Fonda classes if you wanna get a burn, y'know?"

Wish every gym had a Dorian Yates there.

  • He's a pretty disciplined trainer

  • dislike is gay

  • guys most of the sets are 1 or 2. isnt it less?

  • Dorian was only born like 20 mins away from where i live. i'll keep an eye out for him

  • 4 zorge! 5 zorge common 6 zorge!

  • I just can't Grasp the training methods dorian used.. 8 set workouts? How?? For ME is, if I dont get in like 20 sets then it would fel like Ive done nothing..

Im still getting results from 20 sets..

  • @Teenssj2 as long as you use no momentum perfect form and again NO MOMENTUM...one set should really pup up your arms so 8 is good.just slow controlled reps

  • @Teenssj2 abselutely right. I cant understand why so less sets...

  • You're last set should be the only set where you lift til failure.

  • The goal is warm up the muscle area themn a set to failure. Once you have reached failure their is no point to do additiinal sets. You have already worked it to uts max. Any further sets only hurt recovery

  • wot about traps?

  • @scottbarbell thats funny, because i dont think ive ever seen dorian out anyone through a trap workout!

  • OMFG if I had a trainer like Yates by my side I swear I would start living in the gym :))

  • do you do these exact workout routines for each of the six weeks or is it different each week?

  • Hmmm i wonder if this is gonna work i have always done 3 working sets of all these exercises

  • well i feel better about my lateral raises...but i feel really poopy about my military press...lol......and that posterior delt exercise...i figured that out on my own...i saw a lot of dumb exercises for rear delts the one they do here is the best...this is a really good video imo.

  • @spartan30092 no homo right?

  • Just can't see how 2 sets will work. At least make it 3. I don't ever feel anything the next day unless I've done a decent amount of sets to failure each time

  • @danielharris13 Dorian Yates always thought it better to attack a muscle group form various angles to activate more fibres ie. that it was better to do a set each of incline, decline and flat bench, than 3 sets of flat bench. I'm not going to argue with the guy.

  • @danielharris13 thats the whole idea 2-3 working sets to failure

  • @danielharris13 Your intensity is far too low then. Implement intensity aids into your workout, i.e. Cheat reps, half reps, pre-exhaust ( side raises straight into military press). Although those are really only needed for advanced bodybuilders. If you go to COMPLETE, i hastily add COMPLETE, failure you should never need to perform any more than one working set. Introduce yourself to Mike Mentzer and most importantly read! not those inarticulate, money-spinning muscle magazines.

  • obviously way too much weight on those laterals

  • Damn!!! Watching that was good, during those triceps extensions I was like go on 2 more , 1 more, was like I was training with them. I am fired up now, gym in an hour. Great training from the master.

  • ALL THE WAY UP !!! BODY STILL ! if they weren't shooting this vid Dorian would kill these People for not doing it the right way :D

  • squeeeeeeeze

  • lol. the dudes sitting around the gym are like "you're making me look bad bro, stop including me in your vid!"

  • the back workout is the workout im always using because im consistently sore the next day. the others arnt bad but not as good as the back workout. anyone else?

  • @LilxYoungsta rarely getting sore from backworkout :D

  • @MrCherryKirsche it problably cuz you not doin the right execise got to my page ill be uploading a vid for you

  • only 1 working set? i noticed an increase in my physique when doing more sets. never saw any with only 1-2 sets... yates's program wont work for me i think.

  • @leblaith well i guess it depends on the person but his training is going to failure so you really are exhausting the muscles plus, by doing the extra negatives and going slow on the negative you do a lot of muscle tear. But i guess it depends on the person

  • @leblaith Same here, I've tried HIT and Doggcrapp training, and although I was able to recover from workouts alot faster, I didn't get much growth out of those training styles. I've gotten alot out of German volume training (10 sets of 10)...

  • @leblaith notice the intensity which is the key part to it. only 1 minute rest between exercises. you do that and you will get results.

  • "Don't worry bout the burn. You can do Jane Fonda classes if ya want a burn."

  • STRONG, MAN

  • 6:45 track pls....

  • where can i get the soundtrack of the music

  • @mechsector Bro if you find out, let me know, its a good workout music =]

  • Question: he says to do back thursday then tris and shoulders friday when should i do traps doesnt both days be working traps wouldnt that be over training them im confused when to do my traps plz help

  • @SuperPeople360 the back excersises that he performs involve more the biceps than the triceps if you think about it , plus if your doing them correct your traps would be fine for the next day however i believe back is tuesday and traps is thursday

  • @willos1991 sorry bro i dont understand what you mean ..........what i mean is when is my traps used in which muscle worked and i think back is worked out thursday as dorian workout says chest and biceps on monday and following day back would be over training biceps as bicep are used in back workouts

  • @willos1991 Don't forget to engage the middle and lower traps, mate.

  • 50kg dumbbells?... mad

  • hmmm what's the sound at 9:08?

  • @184dan someone FART!

  • Nice video. Thanks.

  • i love the music track!

  • Mr Dorian Yates for president! Cool fuckin man, It would be a dream to workout with him some day. Not sure if a would survive though.

  • Mr Yates, your a STAR sir

  • yates is awesome! Your his bitch for about 45 min XD

    *much respect for the guy

  • this is the type of training i do,a real mans routine not like the pumping light weight baby routines you see in the gyms, fucking love dorian yates he brings the real bodybuilding to us bodybuilders.

  • willing lose a nut to get trained by Yates!

  • @dragonbut Lol. You ain't the only one, man! :-D

  • @dragonbut hell yeah met him once he is a very quiet guy barely talk but hes always teaching people things about weightlifting

  • Comment removed

  • @dragonbut ''A'' nut?!? id be willing to lose all 3 to be trained by him!

  • @OuraMagz you win!

  • @dragonbut he'll probably eat it to get the extra testostrone. test fiend eh mate ;)

  • @dragonbut That's how I worded it when I saw these too

  • 00:50-00:58, you know it's an intense workout when your shirt is ripped!

  • Anyone know the name of this gym?

  • skull crushers - 1,2,3,4......8

had a wee chuckle to myself

    yates is a fucking legend

  • Dorian Yates thats a bad bad man

  • squeeeeeeeeeeeeeze

  • Anyone but me feel like the guy he's training is a big pussy? There's something about his face and expressions that just scream pussy to me. This guy would get torn up in the military.

  • @lwst82 i think he s just intimidated by 6 times Mr Olympia standing right beyond him and training him... You would be too. I would be definitely...

  • All these Dorian's tips and exercises are excellent. I've been doing the same thing 3 weeks for now, and my whole body is a lot more muscular than it used to be before, when i trained by ordinary workouts. Keep it tight and would like to see ABS workout as well!

  • @aronsobik You're a lot more muscular than 3 weeks ago?

    Oh lord.............

  • @user96RR you are joking? kris gethin is cheif editor of bb.com, also dorian is a good mate of his.

  • Question:

Does this workout reallly work? anyone get results? for some reason I have it stuck in my head that you have to workout wayy more then this to get results,4 sets X 12,10,8,6 reps, etc

anyone get good results with this type of workout?

  • dumbbell press was great

  • the master of the syringe.........DY

  • SQUE SQUE SQUEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ xD

  • The music sounds like something from command and conquer red alert 2 :P

  • Comment removed

  • king yates !!!!!

  • Dorian Yates is the fucking man! Thick. Solid. Tight.

  • Dorian , jesteś super !!! Dzięki za wskazówki

  • SQUEEZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !! That's it .

  • Comment removed

  • Yates amazes me how strict about form he tries to be and yet when i hear bad form i think about him! See him workout in the past

  • fuck man the music is hardcore and scary

  • Hm...im confused, video says 1 working set, thoes that mean the video shows only 1 out of 3-4 sets or he only does 1 set of that exercise ?

  • @FleshAndRazor Dorian is a firm believer in the HIT-concept (High Intensity Training), and taking that to the extreme would be doing only 1 working set (the others being warmup sets). However, this requires strict disciplin, both in handling the weight, but also in choosing a weight that'll have you completely burnt out after 8-10 reps (meaning you must be absolutely positive you couldn't do another rep)

And imho, this concept is GOD! But it takes some getting used to in order to get results

  • The music sounds so bad azz..

  • So thats the whole workout?isn it a bit fast?

  • @1savvas1 i worked out a way like that believe me on the 2nd or 3rd set u will beg the workout to be over

  • AWESOME WORKOUT! Its sooo fast when its performed right ( 45 mins maximum ) and very effective. Gives u a great pump! Just one thing. Are there no shrugs in his workouts? Cuz i checked both back and delts workout and there are not.

    Thanks Dorian!

One more thing! THIS IS HIS TRUE WORKOUT that used to do as a pro bb. Im preety amazed that someone finally shows us his REAL workout and not a bunch of random selected exercises.

  • @GokuSuperSayianJin In his blood and guts video, he would do them after the shoulders before hitting tris...

  • LOOVE THEIR T-SHIRTS!!! <3

  • try to stop it! try to stop it... maybe not

  • I want him as my spot please!

  • Whats the intro song called.?

  • tattoos ruin the body

  • i'd kill for a session with dorian!

  • I have been doing MAX-OT on and off. I have used a few self modified versions of it, but I really like what I saw here. I am a strength guy and not a body builder, but this does have me thinking, which is a good thing. :D

  • Dorian makes everyone's form look like SHIT

  • Okay so with this idea of two warm up sets and one working set... Do you believe that you will gain better with that, instead of mybe doing two warm ups and two or three working sets? Why just one?? I weigh 183 with 9.8%bf and i'm trying to get to 175 with 6.5%bf... Is this style going to work for me?

  • @ryaneda the warmup sets really are no different to a standard pyramid routine where u work up to your heaviest weight and go to absolute failure on your heaviest set. It's not a warmup in the sense that the weight is light and you are just doing a light pump it is a warmup in the sense that it is preparing you for your heaviest and all out set. In essence it is a pyramid routine e.g 40 lbs for 12 reps, 60 lbs for 10 reps, 80 pounds for 6-8 reps with a few forced reps, negatives etc at the end

  • @ryaneda The idea is that you are not going to complete failure on the preceding sets so as not to negatively impact upon your heaviest set which is the one that will spur muscle growth. As I said before the principle behind it is identical to that of a standard pyramid routine where u increase the weight and drop the reps each set

  • @ryaneda dorian won 6 times mr olympia with this method..

dorian is the first bodybuilder who had huge freaky muscles.. why ??

because he found the ideal training method that is: going to failure once per exercise + less volume = less muscle breakdown & more muscles building

  • @JuventusAAR u are right going to failure and less volume that is the real deal but noone believes in this way of training Dorian believed and applied it and we all know what he has achieved throughout his career and he keeps the knowledge forever

  • @givemevagina I would say 10-12 reps with heavy weights?

    Or maybe 8-10.

  • @laurenssius exactly even 6 heavy high intensity reps can do good job that depends on each individual its different some do 6 some do about 10 reps

  • i have working out for almost a year and i want better gains do you think guys this is good for an intermediate bodybuilder ?

  • @JuventusAAR do 2 sets instead of one and you better have a training partner for the forced reps, and follow exactly what yates says and you ll have the results of your life

  • got to love dorian, always motivating

saw part 1 of this today on thebodybuildinglink. com then came here to find the rest! going to train now..lol

  • Great coaching

  • What the blonde guys says after dorian said "the weight is a tool"?

  • 3:53 I JIZZ IN MY PANTS FACE!!!! LOL

  • @lote1234567891011 made my day lol

  • @solidsnakeabel23 UR WELCOME

  • i love this fucking guy

  • @steroidsR4losers4 no because he's dorian yates and knows more about building muscle than you ever will

  • first time i see a vid with very little dislikes :P

  • @steroidsR4losers4

    You have my FULL support!

    Let's keep exposing these FRAUDS.

    Stay natural buddy!

  • @steroidsR4losers shut the fuck up allready

  • ...

  • @steroidsR4losers4 i think everyone on the internet wants to see what you look like, and what drives the ignorant hatred that makes you think preaching on the internet will change anybodys mind.

  • If Dorian told me to stop swinging, I would stop swinging.

  • Dorian is very inspiring and knowledgable man

  • dorian's looking AMAZING

  • Shrugs?

  • @h8kye I agree brother that guy shud be privilaged to be training with the great dorian yates

  • was this in boise?

  • this guys weights are pretty good shit man...

  • Dorian Yates' yre the Best of Best !

    great enthusiastic vid

  • I hate those 2 dislikes!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i-m watching all the episodes, i'm a bit thinkin' that these guys have no idea of what good form is

  • SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE!! Awsm

  • 2:54 mutha fuka what?! dont u ever talk back to dorian yates! he a 6 time mr olympia if he tells u not to do sumthin, u stop doin it. end of

  • @h8kyke Exactly! I couldn't believe it. Does this guy really presume to know better than Dorian fucking Yates? Use of momentum absolutely kills that exercise.

  • @h8kyke What? He was just joking around by saying that that's a lot less movement than he normally does.

  • @h8kyke yates and kri gethin are good friends.

  • @h8kyke dorian is the most powerful man

  • i'm kinda surprised, only one working set for 3-4 exercises?

  • can i have the name of song at 0:53 ?

  • for me dorian sums up what bodybuilding should be, finding what works for YOU, sticking to the basics such as progresive overload and becoming more efficient at it over time, in terms of how he trained he is my fav bodybuilder, amazing no bs attitude lol

  • 4:28 - Last one, everything, try and stop it try and stop it!!!!! Alright maybe not lmao...

  • I guess the music the video plays is just a soundtrack for the vid and not real songs huh? Some of them especially the one in the intro is hardcore

  • wish he was my trainer

  • @terry3218 YUP! a lot of us wishes that. Imagine , getting train by Dorian Yates,Milo Sarcev,Arnold Schwarzenegger and Victor Costa, BOOM! We all be a walking big pile of pure shredded muscle, LOL!
