Really nice fiddlin. I had the pleasure over the years at Galax festival to sit and play for hours with Tommy. Really a character and absolutely dedicated to seeing that young people learned the music and enjoyed themselves. He was a really nice guy and great fiddler.

Great fiddling Johnny. Your style sounds a lot like Tommy Jarrell. Have you played with Tommy or been influenced by his style that you know of? I've been studying fiddle styles lately.

Thanks! And, yes, I have tried to get at Tommy's style a bit over the years, though I never got to meet him. Also, I've spent time with Brad Leftwich, who claims Tommy as his biggest influence.
