lol @ 4 smart guns. That must rape your reactor.

Gorgon is probably the best heavy HERC in the game. The thing can't carry as much firepower as the Apoc, but I find the Apoc is really fragile sometimes, and that it is really hard to make use of all 6 hardpoints effectively.

I'll agree that the Emanc is the sexiest HERC around. Fast, fairly tough for it's mass, and good firepower for 40T. It looks even more awesome in 2845!

It does, but it seems to do good on enemy units, atleast from my expierence.

The Eman's are solid, fast, and can hold a x large mount. A emp + an m-fac is a pretty good combo for a fast unit. Sadly you gotta trim down everything else. Just the stock duo blasters do fine.

4 smart guns isn't that bad

they only use 25 energy so the 4 of them can still be powered a by a maxim.

now 2 mfacs and 2 heavy blasters....that'll use up some energy

Aren't you forgetting the fact that you need a shield generator? :P

And getting hit by almost ANY amount of enemy fire with that kind of energy restriction from weaponry will leave almost NO energy for your shields to regenrate.

a scap or a shield mod will keep your shields up and running long enough to down any opponent, especially if you mount 4 S-guns on a more agile herc like a basalisk or sheperd.

besides, smart guns are nothing compared to 4 particle cannons draining your maxim reactor in 4 shots...

i hate the baslisk (to easy to kill)

the baslisk has one of the most damege points out of all hercs/tanks/flyers.

sheapards on the other hand are less easy to kill

smart guns dont do much damege but there good for a bad shot.

they dont weigh alot but dont even use that much energy if u unlink them.

Have you actually PLAYED Starsiege? 1-2 Salvos from a 2-4 EMP combo is enough to completely drop shields. Then you have the constant draining of 4 Smart Guns?

Smart Guns just don't do enough damage to pair up 4 of em,in multiplayer anyways. Their engergy deficit of 25 I think it is, is not really worth it, especially when you could use EMPs and Blast Cannons, Rails, or Missles.

Just grab 2 EMPs and 2 SMarts if you really must use them

In single player they're top notch though

Sure, but not nearly as strong. You try to get 2 mfacs on the apoc, and ya gotta tone down all the internals

hell avery one likes the Apoc, but its armor is relitivly weak and its waepon hardpoints are easy to get rid of. I mytelf like the minotour or the shepard. well balenced and relativly fast.
