Also, it is so bad for tourism. When I travel to a country, I want to see its culture, its environment, its people, etc. I don't want to see "everyone else" or something that looks common or looking like many places! Horrible!

I'm not even caucasian or from the UK, but immigration and multiculturalism into OLD WORLD countries (UK included) is just wrong! Actually, it is wrong anywhere, especially the mess known as modern "mass immigration." How come a developed county like Japan gets to be proud or their culture and ethnicity, maintaining it and having a complete say in whoever gets to be allowed into their country or not?

Heck, not that there's anything wrong with multiculturalism PER SE; but like everything else it has its share of ups and downs. Britain has had TOO much multiculturalism, in too short a time; TOO much immigration, on too wide a scale. That's not being racist. It's like drinking beer; one beer may be good, two beers may be even better, but TEN beers you are almost certainly going to regret. Britain has downed those ten beers and now refuses to admit it's drunk.

I talked to an 80-year old man the other day, who has lived in South-East London all his life and remembers what it was like 60 years ago... and all his arguments about the evils and dangers of "multiculturalism", which would automatically be branded as "racist" by anybody who doesn't consider himself an ultra-conservative, seem to hold true. Britain has gone from being a "nice old country" he says, to being a multicultural SLUM.

I live abroad and one of the main reasons why I love Britain is the fact that just by walking in certain areas of London you get a feel of the world .

The best way to preserve our individual cultures is simply...HOLD ON!like many foreigners that go to live abroad...and chill.

I believe that it cannot be killed that easily...do you dream a nation free of blacks, coloured ppl? well have you ever considered the great utility of immigration?

@ArtLookSpirit i do not wish for a nation free of blacks, but i do wish for a nation that refuses to acknowledge the existance of an indiginous people. British culture does need protection in a society where all foreign cultures are put on the same level.

Interesting, interesting...but what makes you presume that British culture is so superior or, better put, what makes you think that other cultures are not worthy of being treated equaly' and what do you think should be done with these other cultures, in an ideal society?

@ArtLookSpirit well my culture is superior to others in many ways, the fact so many people want to come here is testament to that. But there are attributes of other cultures that are better, some of the more traditional things. This putting all cultures on the same level, including the majority culture is cultural suicide. These other cultures should ultimately be done away with in this nation and people should intergrate, if they dont like that, well.. dont come here.

Diversity (which we've got and don't want) is the direct opposite of community (which we had once but gave up to make way for diversity)
