During Saturdays Armed Forces Day Parade there were ugly scenes involving pro-IRA supporters. These cretins were there to disrespect the very people who fought to allow them the freedom of speech which they so callously abuse.
I can only hope that those of them who were arrested are treated to the most severe of British justice.

we had some anti-war protesters who got a little bit of abuse, but the organisers were relaxed about it, one pointed out that he too was anti-war but the day was to recognise the men and women of the Forces.
I agree with him on that, the protestors were only 7 in number and just handed out leaflets, they didn't shout out or anything, think they would have got a hiding if they had !!

The problem in Glasgow is that some ill informed idiots think that supporting the IRA is ok.
They were chanting pro-IRA crap and were showing a complete lack of respect but I seen at least one police officer dealing with one of these protestors rather forcibly and I must say I enjoyed seeing the treatment this individual recieved - the policeman gave him a right good fucking boot up the arse - it sure as fuck looked awfy sore !!! But oh, how I laughed.

Was it Scots marching, Harry? There were so many innocent lives lost on all sides because of the Troubles, yet Scotland was never subjected to bombs etc, so you'd think that Scots would be able to follow the example of most of the people of Northern Ireland and move on and look to a future together instead of a past divided.

It's a fucking joke the way politicians treat soldiers burnleyfan, and not just in the UK. It's like the old soldier's adage states: "Always remember, your equipment was made by the cheapest bidder".
Forces personnel know the score when they sign a military contract, soldiers fight, they kill and they die, and they have to accept the risks, but they should be given the best equipment to do their jobs.
UK soldiers do a great job but their equipment ranges from piss-poor to adequate.

You're right, bhoyracer. I'm not Catholic and I'm no fan of the Vatican and its doctrines which quite frankly border on the ridiculous sometimes, but you can't discriminate against people en masse.
That's a two-way street of course, if Harry modifies his behaviour to a less belligerent stance for us then we will have to do likewise for him.
I will give Harry credit for initiating this truce though, and I'm pleased to see you are willing to let bygones be bygones too, mate.
