Very nice indeed. I am about to learn this song for voice training class and wanted to look it up a bit and hear what it sounds like. You are by far the best I have heard. very well done
I saw that you know enough English to converse with non-German, when you want to... I wish Rosa could learn in one of these classes you mentioned - but Alas - She had not such luck to be born in your country! No doubt that the MATURE E. Schwarzkopf is the best. You are very bitte and almost hateful in ALL your comments. Do you have also a good word sometimes? :)
Very nice job! Beautiful, rich tone! You did a very nice job with this piece! It is a very good song for your voice.
I'd like to see a little more difference between the two characters in the story. There is some portrayal in your voice but there could still be more. I belive someone else mentioned this, but watch that your "ch" sounds don't turn into "sh." I know it can be a difficult sound to make (especially in such a fast song) but it is a necessity in German pronunciation.
to Emmiline87 - Thank you for your supportive comments. I really have to work on the difference between the 2 characters and the "ch", and try to get it right for the final exam.
Thank you goatheist1986 for your constructive critism. But, taking into consideration the velocity of this piece, the "ichlauts" are much more difficult to pronounce, especially as German is not my mother-language. On the whole, I think the pronanciation was quite good.
Amazing that Rosa Wol has so much of her instrument formed at the age of 21, and what a beautiful sound! Pianist Sonja Mazar is a blessing. Her descriptive execution of the accompaniment changes color, articulation and bends the tempo according to the poetry, all while energizing the singer. The vocal world need more pianists like her. To bring a song to life, the pianist must know the text as well as the singer, and the two must agree on what it all means. Brave donne!
Very nice! Beautiful voice--nice timbre for this song.
I hear a difference vocally between the two characters in the piece; I'd like her to go farther with this, and I'd like to see her make more of a difference physically as well.

I forgot to say that otherwise, your German was very good! There are a lot of words in this song and you got them out with good accuracy.

Be careful that your ichlauts do not turn into "sh". That's really bad pronunciation.
